About this experience
Relax on the Vistula River on a modern boat and admire many of Krakow's most beautiful attractions along the way. A heated deck and comfortable leather sofas will make you feel at home even on cold days. On warmer days, we invite you to the upper platform to enjoy the beautiful views while spending time outdoors. Then, change to the bus and drive to Wieliczka - a small town near Krakow, where one of the largest ancient salt mines in Europe (700 years) is located. The depth of the mine is 340 meters, the total length of the corridors and tunnels is over 245 kilometers. The tourist route is over 3 km long and includes over 20 halls, underground lakes, a multitude of corridors and buildings, including the largest and one of a kind Church of St. Kinga - the patron saint of miners. The underground church is richly decorated with chandeliers, carvings and statues of saints carved out of salt. There is a specific healing microclimate in the mine, and there is a sanatorium at a depth of 135 m.

Excellent trip in Krakow
Fantastic trip. The boat was nice and relaxing, clean toilet, little bar and we had chilled mini bottles of Prosecco. Also nice and warm (so cold outside -2 degrees). Girl met us off the boat and walked us to next pick up point. Comfortable small van with only 8 of us. Took around half an hour to reach the salt mines. Excellent tour. Guide very informative. Amazed at the little cafe deep inside! Needed cold water by the time we got there! Bit of a queue for the lift back up to ground level but it moved fairly quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful family trip!
Everything was well-coordinated from our boat ride to our trip to the salt mines. Our driver, Sylvester, was very friendly and told us great stories about Krakow on the way. The salt mine tour was also fantastic (tour guide was Nick) and the mines were impressive and awesome.

How far in advance should I book Krakow: Cruise on the Vistula River and Wieliczka Salt Mine Group Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
