About this experience
Join us on a voyage dotted with spectacular landscapes, rural architecture and monuments of history. Believe it or not, Konavle region has it all – the charm, the tradition and exquisite cuisine. Taste exquisite wines in several wineries and learn all about flour production on a visit to the old water mill. After visit to the first winery, absorb the region by riding on a tourist train through its rich vineyards. Traditional customs are presented in the village of Ljuta in the water-powered mill where you get to see how flour was once produced. Here you can also learn everything about wool processing, another traditional craft of this region. Relish in some of the best wines originating in this part of Croatia in following vineyards. You may also find it particularly interesting to pick at the traditional ploughman’s lunch of bacon, onions and hard-boiled eggs served in a customary manner of the old folks from Konavle who laboured in the fields.

Not so good experience
It was very confusing, Gulliver travel kept on changing the pick up location, we had to walk to another hotel, but when I booked they said the pick up was in our hotel, I talked to concierge several times and they called to verify but there was a mixed up….i used Viator 4 different tours for this vacation but this one was even a 3 star only

Our Little allice of Croatia
Wonderful tour tasting wine and experiencing the culture of Croatia. Our guide was very informative on both the wine, the family histories and how olive oil was made back in the days before electricity.

It was okay
The main description on tripadvisor is slightly different to the itinerary description. You taste 4 wines, without any guidance on what you are tasting (no tasting notes etc.) and don't get to hear much of how they make the wine, more about the family history of the vineyard- which is interesting. We ended up spending the most time at a water mill and a flour mill - no live wool making as stated in the description. Also note the train doesnt drive you through vineyards you are on a main road for a lot of it but you do go past vineyards and some people in our party had spent over an hour on the coach before we even got picked up. The tour was okay, the wine was nice and I enjoyed trying the liqueurs at the last vineyard.

Excellent afternoon traditional vineyard tour
Fantastic afternoon in the beautiful countryside. Friendly knowledgeable guide. Transfer turned up on time and it was good to take in the views on the way to the valley. On the tour itself and at all the vineyard stops, it was good to learn the history and traditions of the family owned vineyards and Mills. Wine tasting was excellent. Really enjoyed the whole experience. Vineyard Botana (last stop) was the best with grandma's cake and excellent host!!. Thank you 😊

Brilliant Konavle Valley wine tour
Konavle valley wine tour. Picked up from our hotel and taken to three very different vineyards. Each had there own style and character. One had a working flour mill with demo and history, loved this. At each stop the owners brought local crafts and foodstuffs to try and buy. Between the vineyards we were transported on a small land train. Great photo ops. Great wine and lovely people. Our pick of the tours we did on this holiday.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Konavle Valley Wine Tour from Dubrovnik -Train Ride &Wine Tasting: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.
How much does Konavle Valley Wine Tour from Dubrovnik -Train Ride &Wine Tasting cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Konavle Valley Wine Tour from Dubrovnik -Train Ride &Wine Tasting take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.
Is Konavle Valley Wine Tour from Dubrovnik -Train Ride &Wine Tasting worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Konavle Valley Wine Tour from Dubrovnik -Train Ride &Wine Tasting?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Konavle Valley Wine Tour from Dubrovnik -Train Ride &Wine Tasting suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Konavle Valley Wine Tour from Dubrovnik -Train Ride &Wine Tasting?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Konavle Valley Wine Tour from Dubrovnik -Train Ride &Wine Tasting start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Split?
+
On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Split?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Split?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
