A Christmas Eve to Remember!
A Christmas Eve to remember! I took my family out for a day of Sportfishing while in Kona with Bite Me Sportfishing and Wow did we have a blast! Captain Brian Harnden and Mate Darin Castoro really know their stuff! we went for the full day trip, left the dock at about 6:30am and by 7:30am my wife was into the first Blue Marlin of her life. What a thrill! Brought it to the boat, and released the 160lb (ish) beauty! But that was just the beginning. Next up in the chair was our daughter and within the next hour she hooked up with her first Striped Marlin, about 65 pounds. We boated that fish and split the meat with the crew. We ate some last night, fabulous! After a few more hours of “mowing the lawn” looking for a fish, as luck would have it, the best fish of the day struck! Our son was in the chair and did a great job controlling his first Blue Marlin. We were able to bring that 250lb. beauty to the boat where Darin was able to tag and release it. All in all, Captain Brian and Mate Darin were terrific, very positive and super professional. Our family will never forget this adventure and can’t wait to do it again!

Best fishing charter yet! Brian and cam are definitely the guys I want to go with again! Saw pilot whales, tons of porpoise and a sea turtle at the end! Not to mention the fish!! Got one beautiful tuna and 2 marlin at the same time but lost one! Definitely worth the full day! Cam, you the man! Thanks for helping get that big fish in

Highly recommend Bite Me Sportfishing! We love Captain Brian, Jason, and Cory!
Highly recommend Bite Me Sportfishing! Captain Brian was excellent as well as his crew Jason and Cory! Brian was super fun and played great music and kept the vibe fun and relaxing while also keeping an eye out for any signs of fish! We got to see pilot whales and a rare but beautiful whale shark! Captain Brian even took the extra time for us to see them up close! Captain Jason was super helpful with giving us instructions and ensuring our safety as well as helping us land a Mahi Mahi and a 84lb Blue Marlin!!! As for Cory, he was so kind and helpful with ensuring we had anything we needed, water, photos, etc. He is such a hard worker and went the extra mile to help us land both our fish and did everything he could to ensure we had a good experience! Thank you to all 3 of them for an awesome time! :)

Great Crew! Comfortable Boat! Awesome time fishing!
About 1 hour into our Half Day Shared Group, Captain Brian got us a double hook. Two Marlin at once. Unfortunately one threw the hook, but I was able to reel in the other. Kalin and Tiger did a great job training beforehand, then coaching this first timer through and we landed a nice young Blue Marlin. The crew cut and portioned the meat afterwards so we could all take some, with lots left for the crew. Overall a great day on the Big Island! O

Another satisfied customer!
Great time had by all! Tara was a hoot, and an experienced captain. My Dad, son, and I all had a great time. We each hooked a blue marlin, plus my son caught a yellowtail of some sort (not tuna). Tara and crew were excellent. Boat was amazing! We would definitely go again and be sure to book Tara, if possible.

Kona Hawaii Fishing/Snorkel Large Group Private Charter on OE II: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Big Island of Hawaii.
How much does Kona Hawaii Fishing/Snorkel Large Group Private Charter on OE II cost?
+
Prices start at $2088 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Big Island of Hawaii usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kona Hawaii Fishing/Snorkel Large Group Private Charter on OE II take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Big Island of Hawaii is not rushed.
Is Kona Hawaii Fishing/Snorkel Large Group Private Charter on OE II worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Big Island of Hawaii, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kona Hawaii Fishing/Snorkel Large Group Private Charter on OE II?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kona Hawaii Fishing/Snorkel Large Group Private Charter on OE II suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Kona Hawaii Fishing/Snorkel Large Group Private Charter on OE II?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Big Island of Hawaii can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Big Island of Hawaii and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kona Hawaii Fishing/Snorkel Large Group Private Charter on OE II start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Big Island of Hawaii within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Big Island of Hawaii?
+
The Big Island is volcano country: Hawaii Volcanoes National Park tours, Mauna Kea summit stargazing, night manta ray snorkels off Kona, Waipio Valley lookouts and coffee farm visits. Summit tours have real altitude rules, so we weight safety detail. On Outty we rank every Big Island of Hawaii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include KONA Manta Ray Night Snorkel - FREE re-ride if no Sightings, Big Island: Captain Cook Snorkel On A Power Catamaran With Lunch, Big Island in a Day: Volcanoes Waterfalls Sightseeing and History. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Big Island of Hawaii?
+
April to October, though the island runs year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Big Island of Hawaii?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
