Great day out
If you're in Almaty and have a day in hand this is a great way to spend it. We (group of 5 colleagues) booked as we had heard about the canyon but didn't know anything beyond that and had a fantastic surprise. Our guide, Minara was absolutely excellent, she picked us up at the hotel and was an absolute mine of information, giving an insight on what it is like to live in Almaty, Kazakh customs and history as well as some great recommendations about other things we could see and do. Her English and French were impeccable and she was so kind. On route we picked up lunch from a local cafe (would definitely recommend the lagman) which we took away and ate in the canyon. The walk was beautiful and definitely not too strenuous, well worth it for the atmosphere and the photos. On the way back Minara and the driver dropped us back at the green bazar to give us a bit of time to explore and had some great dinner (and chocolate) recommendations. All of us would definitely recommend, particularly if Minara is your guide!
Response from the operator: Thanks for you kind review , we are glad that you enjoyed your trip:)

Absolutely Jaw-Dropping Trip to Charyn Canyon
What a trip we had to Charyn Canyon with Skyway. This was part of a larger tour around Kazakhstan that we took with Skyway. First of all, the driver Andrey (sorry if I got the name wrong) was just the kindest, sweetest guy I have ever met. Always available to drive us everywhere, he did so wearing a constant smile on his face. Cholpon, our guide, was also extremely caring and kind to our group. Besides, she was always ready to share with us her extensive knowledge of the country and its history. Finally, our trip was just breathtakingly beautiful. Andrey drove the entire time, with us sleeping (we took off really early) and Cholpon offered to take to some other beautiful places that were off the normal route due to the rain. Overall it was great, and I would definitely recommend travelling with Skyway.
Response from the operator: Good day, we are glad that you had amazing experience with us !

How much does Kolsay, Kaindy, Charyn: 6 locations in 1 day cost?

Is Kolsay, Kaindy, Charyn: 6 locations in 1 day worth it?
+

+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Almaty can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+

What are the best things to do in Almaty?
+
On Outty we rank every Almaty experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kolsai, Kaindy Lakes and Charyn Canyon Small Group Tour, Kolsai Kaindy Lakes with Charyn Canyons 2-day tour, Small-Group Tour: Kolsai & Kaindy Lakes with Charyn Canyons. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Almaty?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Almaty?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
