Learning Experience

Walking tour at my pace. Guide was accommodating to needs/wants. Tour gave a different perspective of Kobe and Arami area. Built a friendship.

Response from the operator: There were a few unexpected situations during the tour, such as one of the landmark buildings being under renovation and the foot bath being closed, so we are very happy to hear that you still enjoyed the experience. We truly appreciate your understanding and your warm comments about the tour. Thank you again for joining us in Kobe and Arima, and we hope to welcome you again in Japan someday.

Great Walking Tour

Nice walking day tour for sure! Day started meeting Yuta on time at the predetermined location. Turns out the other attendees cancelled, so I had a personal tour. We walked and talked and saw the sights indicated on the itinerary. Yuta was very knowledgeable about the area, sights, and food! For English speakers, Yuta spoke English very well and was easy to understand. If you don't like crowds, the 9:00 tour is perfect, hit one of the same spot later in the day alone, and it was packed! Looking forward to catching him again in Osaka!

An Incredible Journey Through Kobe and Arima Onsen!

This guided tour was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we met our guide at the JR station, we knew we were in for a special experience. The tour seamlessly blended history, culture, and stunning landscapes, allowing us to explore both the vibrant port city of Kobe and the serene, traditional Arima Onsen town—all without the stress of planning logistics ourselves. Kobe’s international influences were fascinating, and our guide provided rich historical context that brought the city’s past to life. Then, crossing over the Rokko Mountains into Arima Onsen felt like stepping into another world—peaceful, charming, and steeped in tradition. Walking through the nostalgic streets, learning about the area’s deep history, and soaking in the relaxing atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience. The pacing was perfect, and our guide’s expertise made the journey smooth and engaging from start to finish. If you’re looking for a well-rounded, immersive introduction to Kobe and Arima Onsen, this tour is an absolute must. Highly recommend!

Good walking tour

The Harbourside walk, Chinese Garden, prevous foreign settlement, shrine, observation tower. It was changed to an afternoon tour and it was too late and dark to go to Arima onset. Yuta was kind to change the itinerary to cater to my interest.

Kobe Guided Tour Including Port Area and Arima Onsen Town: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kobe.

How much does Kobe Guided Tour Including Port Area and Arima Onsen Town cost?

+

Prices start at $7000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kobe usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kobe Guided Tour Including Port Area and Arima Onsen Town take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kobe is not rushed.

Is Kobe Guided Tour Including Port Area and Arima Onsen Town worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kobe, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kobe Guided Tour Including Port Area and Arima Onsen Town?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kobe Guided Tour Including Port Area and Arima Onsen Town suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kobe Guided Tour Including Port Area and Arima Onsen Town?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kobe can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kobe and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kobe Guided Tour Including Port Area and Arima Onsen Town start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kobe within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kobe?

+

On Outty we rank every Kobe experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kobe Sake Tour with Expert Guide: 3+ Breweries, Tastings Included, Kobe: 100% Personalized Tour with Local Student Guide, Kobe Customized Half-Day Tour with Licensed Local Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kobe?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kobe?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
