Honest review

Great tour of palace, really hot and location a little distance. Guide was great, bilingual great English and German. Upon booking I didn’t know this was going to be the case so meant much longer tour as both English and German spoken so information repeated twice which meant longer in the blistering heat. Very pricey at the palace for drinks and foods so take ya own but only allowed water. The tour continued to the city, let down by poor lions fountain not working and at marks church was led to believe was a church was a museum. We decided to leave the group and find our own way around the city and get lunch as again was taking ages to explain on both English and German. City itself is beautiful, loads of shops and restaurants and interesting landmarks.

Response from the operator: Hi dear, I thing you are reviewing the wrong bussiness we do not offer group tours to Knossos Palace museum of Heraklion. We only do private very carefully organized tours. We do not have coaches for such tours. Please remove this review from my businesses. Thank you in advance Regards Natassa

Knossos Palace

We were picked up at our cruise ship, on time and with a clearly marked sign. The trip to Knossos was enjoyable with a knowledgable guide. The tour of the Palace was informative and detailed with a guide who knew the area well.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words and foe taking the time to share your experience with us! Have a wonderful time and nice travels!

All Pro

This was an all pro experience. The driver and the guide were each totally on time, very friendly, engaging and fun. The drive was very smooth and comfortable navigating to the sites, and the driver had perfect English with cultural information and gave a good connection to Crete. Our guide, Maria, was very sweet, also perfect English, was bright, relaxed and informative. A wonderful day for my partner and me.

Response from the operator: Happy that you had such a nice time! Both the driver and the guide had a wonderful time with you too! We would love to serve you again in a future visit! Happy travels!

Amazing ruins

Driver was very professional and courteous. Got to learn a lot about Crete and the people along the way. We asked him to stop at an olive mill and met some very nice people. We used the audio tour with VR to see what palace looked like in past but there was no mythological aspect included. Tour with a guide would have probably provided more information.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We are really happy that you enjoyed it! Yes, the truth is that having a live guide in the Knossos palace is much better as you can ask and receive answers and interact with him/her but at least you got most of information! We hope to have the chance to serve you again sometime in the future!

Knossos Palace of Crete with transportation 7h tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chania.

How much does Knossos Palace of Crete with transportation 7h tour cost?

+

Prices start at $432 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chania usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Knossos Palace of Crete with transportation 7h tour take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chania is not rushed.

Is Knossos Palace of Crete with transportation 7h tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chania, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Knossos Palace of Crete with transportation 7h tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Knossos Palace of Crete with transportation 7h tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Knossos Palace of Crete with transportation 7h tour?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chania can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chania and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Knossos Palace of Crete with transportation 7h tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chania within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chania?

+

On Outty we rank every Chania experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Rethymno Quad Safari, Elafonisi & Falasarna Small Group Tour from Chania w/snacks, Balos & Falassarna Beach - Jeep Tour with Loungers and Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chania?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chania?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
