Croatian dukes and kings hold it as part of their kingdom but the most famous role fortress had in the wars with the Ottoman empire. After Klis Fortress, we will visit ethno-agro park Stella Croatica. Here you will see the production of local plant products and pastries. You will join a guided tour through the production lane, botanical garden and Olive Museum where you’ll hear the fascinating history of olive cultivation and its cultural significance in the region. The last stop is Vranjača, a breathtaking geological monument. Vranjača cave is the underground world of stalactites and stalagmites that has been shaped by water for millions of years.

Fab tour of Klis Fortress and Vranjaca Cave
Fabulous half day tour with Mario. Pickup was on time. The tour of Klis Fortress was informative and Mario explained the history clearly without only focusing on the GOT themes that we heard other guides providing. Stella Croatica was interesting although a little commercial. Vranjaca Cave was a great “off the beaten path” stop that gave us a chance to marvel at nature’s beauty. Mario also acted as a personal photographer for us and overall made the day memorable. Highly recommended!

Excellent tour and guide. A not to be missed tour.
Would highly recommend this tour. It's well-planned, wonderful venues chosen, and has an excellent guide. Mario is a wealth of information about the history of each site, as well as Croatia. Klis fortress is fascinating (even if you don't follow the Game of Thrones), and beautifully maintained and restored. Stella croatica has beautiful gardens, and the tour of their site and products is very interesting. The cave is amazing!! You will be stunned by its size and beauty. Book this w Mario!

Best Transportation Services in Croatia!
We had an exceptional experience with Mario from Route Dalmatia and would highly recommend him to anyone traveling through Split! We had multiple family members arriving and departing on different days, and Mario went above and beyond to coordinate transportation and make sure everyone got where they needed to be. Lovely private tour from Route Dalmatia
We had a fabulous private tour with Mario from Route Dalmatia! He is an amazing guide, a very good driver, & a genuinely pleasant and intelligent person 😀 to talk to. Mario was very patient & attentive to our interests throughout the journey, always happy to stop for a short break whenever we needed one& adapted the tour to us! Mario also took us to beautiful viewpoints & chose great spots for photos, so we could keep wonderful memories of the day. The Klis Fortress was outstanding and dramatically nice,so that's why a lot of movies & series was filmed there!!! The Vranjaca Cave - a lovely spot to see & explore! Stella Croatica- a very unique & interesting place ( Olive oil museum and cosmetic production). Every location was stunning & offer completely different unique perspectives of the region! Everything was excellent, & we enjoyed every moment of the tour. We highly recommend Mario &Route Dalmatia to anyone visiting Croatia who wants a memorable & informative excursion!!!
