    What you'll see and do

    1. MBK Center (Ma Boon Khrong Center)

Your day begins at the ground floor of MBK Shopping Center, G floor, one of Bangkok's most recognizable landmarks and an easy, central meeting spot for travelers coming from anywhere in the city. Your guide will greet your group here, take a headcount, and give a full briefing on the day ahead, including what to expect, what to bring, and a rough sense of pacing. This is also your last chance to grab snacks, use the restroom, or pick up anything you might need before heading out of the city, since MBK is packed with shops and food stalls. Once everyone's checked in, you'll board your vehicle for the scenic drive out of Bangkok toward Khao Yai, one of Thailand's most beloved national park regions. Expect a comfortable ride with commentary from your guide along the way, covering local geography, what makes the Khao Yai area special, and a preview of the waterfalls, wildlife, and canal scenery you'll experience later in the day.

      150 minutes here

    2. Explore the natural beauty of Khao Yai on a relaxing kayaking adventure through peaceful waterways surrounded by lush forests. Enjoy the fresh air, scenic views, and a refreshing escape into nature.

      120 minutes here

    3. As late afternoon sets in, head to the open grasslands near the Lam Takong Campsite, a well-known spot within Khao Yai for spotting wild elephants, deer, and other native wildlife grazing in their natural habitat. Your guide will help scan the fields and tree lines, sharing knowledge about animal behavior, tracking signs, and the best times of day for sightings. While wildlife encounters can never be guaranteed, this open, scenic area offers one of the best chances in the park to see animals in a natural, undisturbed setting. It's a quieter, observational stop, perfect for travelers who enjoy nature-watching and photography, and it builds anticipation for the night safari still ahead. The golden late-afternoon light also makes this a beautiful spot for scenic photos of the grasslands and surrounding forest.

      30 minutes here

    4. As the sun begins to set, enjoy a scenic drive along Sai Sorn Reservoir, one of Khao Yai's most photogenic spots, especially during golden hour. Your guide will make stops where possible for photos of the reservoir's still waters reflecting the changing sky, surrounded by forested hills. This drive offers a relaxing, visually stunning transition between the day's active stops and the evening's night safari, letting travelers unwind while taking in some of the park's best views. Expect commentary on the reservoir's role in the local ecosystem and its popularity among photographers and nature lovers. It's a wonderfully atmospheric stretch of the day, ideal for capturing memorable sunset shots and enjoying quiet, scenic downtime before the excitement of spotting nocturnal wildlife after dark.

      90 minutes here

    5. Khao Yai National Park

As darkness falls, embark on an exciting night safari through Khao Yai National Park, using spotlights to search for nocturnal wildlife that emerges after sunset. Your guide will help spot animals such as deer, civets, owls, and, with luck, other elusive nocturnal species that call the park home. This experience offers a completely different perspective on the park compared to daytime visits, with a thrilling, adventurous feel as you scan the darkened forest edges and open fields. Your guide will share insights into nocturnal animal behavior and the unique ecology of the park after dark. It's an exciting highlight of the day, appealing to wildlife enthusiasts and families alike, and offers photo opportunities and stories you won't get anywhere else in a standard daytime park visit.

    Would recommend, thank you.

The trip was nice, we saw some animals and landscapers. Also I would like to give some appreciation for our guide Tank. Very nice man, also helped me to take some photos since I was a solo traveler.

Khao Yai National Park Day Tour with Kayaking and Night Safari: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Khao Yai National Park Day Tour with Kayaking and Night Safari cost?

    +

Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Khao Yai National Park Day Tour with Kayaking and Night Safari take?

    +

Plan for about 13 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Khao Yai National Park Day Tour with Kayaking and Night Safari worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Khao Yai National Park Day Tour with Kayaking and Night Safari?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Khao Yai National Park Day Tour with Kayaking and Night Safari suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 13-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Khao Yai National Park Day Tour with Kayaking and Night Safari?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Khao Yai National Park Day Tour with Kayaking and Night Safari start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
