A little farther outside...

A little farther outside of the city center than I thought so can be difficult to locate. Once you do find it, though, it’s worth every minute! Incredible views of the lake and helpful staff.

Great way to get on the water

I highly recommend this experience and this company. First of all, make sure to click the exact "meeting point" location given by the tour provider which opens into your maps app because I instead simply put "San Giovani beach" into my maps app and it took us to the beach nearby causing us extra walking. As a result, we were late which I thought would have cut into our kayaking time but since there were no reservations after us, he allowed us to still have the full hour. The guy in charge was so kind and helpful. I'd also recommend NOT getting out onto one one of the rocky beaches nearby because we did but it was difficult to stand on the rocks so our knees got cut up a little. Just stay in the kayak and enjoy your surroundings. Here's what I'd recommend to avoid a lot of walking if you're staying in the center of the town in Bellagio since San Giovanni Beach can be a 22 minute walk from the ferry station. In the morning, buy a ticket for the Little Tourist Train (from the driver) & do 1 full lap around & hold on to those tickets. See trip advisor for the schedule but I believe 10:20 is the first run. We then walked 4 minutes south along the promenade (water on your right) and spent the day at "Lido di Bellagio" beach club. I suggest you leave there around 3:00, then walk through Villa Melzi for $10 to avoid the busy street & catch the little train again at it's "Loppia" stop around 3:30 which is just outside of Melzi. Before boarding, tell the driver you plan to get off at San Giovanni. The kayaks are not far from there and that neighborhood is cute and quaint to walk through. Kayaks would be 4-5 pm and when you're done, catch the train around 5:15 back to the center of town to avoid a 22 minute walk. Enjoy!

So fun!

Impeccable experience. We came late due to a missed bus and not being super familiar with the spot and they still took us immediately and we were able to get on a boat. Rowing was easy

Lovely spot

Such a lovely spot for kayaking! You can go across the lake within 15-20 minutes and also around the little beaches. I highly recommend for a solo activity. I went in the morning, so the temperature was very nice. Phone protector, dry bag, towel, and life jackets all included.

Kayak Rental - Lake Como Bellagio: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lake Como.

How much does Kayak Rental - Lake Como Bellagio cost?

+

Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lake Como usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kayak Rental - Lake Como Bellagio take?

+

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lake Como is not rushed.

Is Kayak Rental - Lake Como Bellagio worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lake Como, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kayak Rental - Lake Como Bellagio?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kayak Rental - Lake Como Bellagio suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Kayak Rental - Lake Como Bellagio?

+

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lake Como can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lake Como and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kayak Rental - Lake Como Bellagio start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lake Como within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lake Como?

+

On Outty we rank every Lake Como experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Lake Como & Lugano: 2 Countries in 1 Day, Boat Cruise, Como, Bellagio & Varenna: Small Group from Milan with Boat Cruise, Small-Group Lake Como: Bellagio, Varenna, Hidden Gorge & Boat. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lake Como?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lake Como?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
