Fun with a chance of sea sickness

The boat ride was great, very rocky at times with a high chance of being sea sick if you are temperamental.

Response from the operator: We generally recommend taking a preventative. The ocean and weather conditions are unpredictable. Mahalo for joining us

    The crew (Jake, Lauren,...

The crew (Jake, Lauren, Chad) were so nice and super fun to be on the boat with. They made the cruise so fun and checked on us throughout the entire trip and made sure we got the best pictures, had drinks and served us a great dinner. We've been on several cruises between all the islands and I think this was by far the best one. The captain, Evan was super cool too and knew so much about the Hawaiian culture and history. His music was good too and my family could not have had a better time! I would recommend this excursion to anyone coming to Kauai!

Response from the operator: We are really happy to hear that everything was a hit! Mahalo for sharing with us and thank you for choosing KST!

    Best crew ever

I was beyond impressed with how attentive, kind, and compassionate the crew was on the lucky lady sunset snorkel tour. I chose the bigger catamaran tour rather than the smaller boats due to my tendency towards sea sickness. I took plenty of Dramamine and used the wrist bands which did the trick for me. Unfortunately many people were very ill due to the winds creating high waves, which I might note are supposedly worse in winter. The crew was on top of their needs, ready with buckets, ginger ale and lots of compassion. They made sure all passengers had the food and drinks they needed, helped with carrying food from the delicious dinner taco bar and picked up all the trash so it didn't blow off the boat. They never stopped moving!! The cruise itself was amazing with the breathtaking views. The captain stopped at the sea caves and dipped the front of the boat in the waterfalls which my daughter loved. The captain made sure to tell us interesting and fun comments about the area and towns as we passed them. The snorkeling was ok, we have snorkeled in areas where we have seen more fish. This was by far the best views, food and crew we have ever had around the world in a snorkel boat trip. Thank you.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the detailed review! We like hearing that the crew was so attentive and the Captain so informative. Mahalo for the kind words and for choosing KST!

    Great sunset trip!

It was a great tour! Our captain was Dawn and crew Josh, Lauren and Chad. The Napali coast is absolutely amazing! Be prepared for a rocky ride! We were prepared and had the best time but many on our tour were seasick. The crew did an amazing job taking care of sick passengers, changing buckets nearly constantly so give them a break if you’re not used to small boats rocking and pre medicate with something for sea sickness. The taco bar was great and the little desserts were awesome too! Snorkeling was ok, a little choppy but we saw turtles and a few schools of fish. Our captain even stopped on the way back for everyone to enjoy some spinner dolphins. I would definitely do this again!

Response from the operator: Thank you Margo - great to hear you had a wonderful time with Captain Dawn and her crew! We generally always suggest taking preventatives, especially these days with weather and ocean conditions becoming more unpredictable. Mahalo for sharing and we hope you will join us again!

    I had a terrible...

I had a terrible experience because when we started snorkeling the water was very rough and needed to get back within 20 min. Once back on the boat, the water was so rough that for 4 hours I was vomiting and felt horrible . There were many passengers who were sick and in the same situation. Just wish I knew it was going to be rough so I could’ve cxld the tour. Had the sea-band as well.

Response from the operator: We are very sorry to hear that you were not feeling well during your trip. Unfortunately, the weather and ocean conditions can be unpredictable, and this happens more frequently around the island of Kaua'i. Generally we recommend taking a preventative. Apologies again

Kauai: Deluxe Na Pali Sunset Snorkel Cruise aboard Lucky Lady: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kauai.

How much does Kauai: Deluxe Na Pali Sunset Snorkel Cruise aboard Lucky Lady cost?

    +

Prices start at $212 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kauai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kauai: Deluxe Na Pali Sunset Snorkel Cruise aboard Lucky Lady take?

    +

Plan for about 5.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kauai is not rushed.

Is Kauai: Deluxe Na Pali Sunset Snorkel Cruise aboard Lucky Lady worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 348 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kauai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kauai: Deluxe Na Pali Sunset Snorkel Cruise aboard Lucky Lady?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kauai: Deluxe Na Pali Sunset Snorkel Cruise aboard Lucky Lady suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kauai: Deluxe Na Pali Sunset Snorkel Cruise aboard Lucky Lady?

    +

Around 122 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kauai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kauai and add a light layer if any part of the 5.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kauai: Deluxe Na Pali Sunset Snorkel Cruise aboard Lucky Lady start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kauai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kauai?

    +

Kauai sells Na Pali Coast boat and helicopter tours, Waimea Canyon drives, tubing through old plantation ditches and Hanalei kayak trips. Ocean conditions shut down the north shore boat runs in winter, so cancellation terms matter. On Outty we rank every Kauai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Koloa Zipline in Kauai, Kauai: NaPali Boat Tour on the Amelia K, Kauai: Secret Falls Kayak and Hike. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kauai?

    +

April to June and September to October, with calmest seas in summer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kauai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
