We felt like STARS ON THE STAGE! Definitely a highlight not to miss in Seoul.
This was the highlight of our trip to Seoul (second only to the BABYMONSTER concert that we went to!). We took two private lessons with Jubii who was EXCELLENT! Her love of K pop was positively infectious and she was very attentive to corrections. We originally planned only one private class, but after one class with Jubii, we booked another one pretty much on the spot! My daughter also took a group class with Lena who had lots of good techniques for how to learn the dance as well. The group class was full of students from all over the globe! How the experience was organized: We started with stretching. This warm-up session got us really hyped for the class with Jubii (and we learned a few new stretches). After we selected a K-Pop song, Jubii taught us to the dance to this song by breaking it up into about three to four segments (and at our own pace). Unlike my daughter, I am *not* an experienced K-pop dancer, so breaking the dance into segments was really helpful for me. Jubii slowed down the speed of the music as needed and she used different tactics to help us remember each move. After practicing each segment several times, we put all of the parts together and took on the dance at the original speed. It was SO MUCH FUN! We felt like stars on stage! Additional bonuses were the keepsakes. We received certificates and took video and photos. For the private class, my husband got to take lots of videos during the session and we use this video to help us remember the lessons and to re-live this beautiful mother-daughter experience. For the group class (which my daughter would not let me join, lol), the organizers sent us pictures and a video of the class about a week or two after the session. Our friends at home were envious once they saw the pictures that we took (and my other daughter was upset that we did not bring her along for the experience). Also- the staff were super responsive. They got back to us immediately when we had questions and additional requests (like for booking an extra class or locating the facility). My only suggestion for dance instructors who do this is to PLEASE PLAY K-POP FOR THE WARM UP session. K-Pop will help get people excited for the dance lesson more than music from the U.S. After all, we all came from different parts of the world for this experience because we are excited about K-pop! I highly recommend this experience for anyone who loves K-pop--even if you don't have that much experience with this kind of music and dance!

It was excellent! I had a blast and Terry was absolutely wonderful. It was my first time dancing with kpop and it was a treat I’d recommend to beginner and experienced dancers!

Fun K-Pop dance lesson
Class was with an excellent English-speaking teacher. Her instructions were very clear and she sequenced the steps so well. Good location within easy walking distance from the subway.
