Jungle night walk adventure
It was a rainey night when we went on our night walk in the forest. Werner our guide was fantastic. He was so knowledgable and showed us all kinds of wild life that come out at night including my favourite Red Eyed tree frog, Lizard, Aligator, Whip spider. Certainly one of the best wild life walks we took in Costa Rica.

Very overpriced
We booked this tour to be able to experience the nightlife in the forest (typically you can find spiders, insects, frogs, snakes etc.). The tour included a little walk (literally, we walked 500m) in the property of a hotel in a straight line (going and coming back in the same line). We ended up in the puddles by the hotel pool, what they called the "lake". It was a very short walk where we mostly saw some spiders and some frogs. We paid 75 dollars per person for this very short walk with at the end some fruits. The same day, we paid less per person for a longer kayak tour. We were quite frustrated with what we got for that price (a walk next to a hotel, which we could have done ourselves for free). Especially knowing that in Monteverde a night walk is half of the price. While other tours may be interesting this one was definitely not and certainly not worth the price. If you would like to do a night walk, we recommend you to do it somewhere else or with another company (at a price of 40ish dollars pp, which is what other companies typically charge).
Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We truly appreciate you taking the time to provide such detailed insights into your experience. We are very sorry to hear that our night walk tour did not meet your expectations. Our jungle night walk tour is in a jungle habitat adjacent to the Manuel Antonio National Park and show you all kind of creatures such as frogs, lizards, mammals, insects, spiders, snakes, scorpions, birds and so much more. We always aim to provide our guests with a memorable experience, especially when it comes to the unique wildlife and the beauty of the forest at night, but unfortunately the ecosystem, and the behavior of the animals on their own habitat do not depend on us. Although, the beautiful symphony of a tropical rain forest at night is one of the most exiting experiences; this unique Jungle Walk is 2 hours guided adventure where you will have the opportunity to be part of one of the most interesting and important ecosystems of Costa Rica, the Nocturnal Tropical Rain Forest. It’s disappointing to hear that the walk fell short of what you were hoping for, and we understand how the brevity of the tour and the surroundings may not have provided the immersive experience you anticipated. Regarding the price, we continuously evaluate our offerings to ensure they reflect both the quality of the experience and the costs involved, but please note that wildlife behavior may be affected by other factors, and rain is definitely one of them. Not always, but if during your visit you have bad weather is probably the animals were hidden to avoid the bad weather conditions. We will be sure to review your feedback with our team to learn how we may improve the tour, ensuring that it offers the kind of adventure that truly connects guests with the incredible wildlife that Manuel Antonio is known for. We do hope you will consider us again in the future for other experiences that may better align with your expectations.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quepos.
How much does Jungle Night Walk Manuel Antonio cost?

How long does Jungle Night Walk Manuel Antonio take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quepos is not rushed.
Is Jungle Night Walk Manuel Antonio worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Quepos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jungle Night Walk Manuel Antonio suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Jungle Night Walk Manuel Antonio?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quepos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quepos and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jungle Night Walk Manuel Antonio start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quepos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Quepos?
+
On Outty we rank every Quepos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Waterfall Adventure, Manuel Antonio Canopy Tour - Longest Twin Zip Line in Central America, Manuel Antonio Park Tour and its Amazing Wildlife and Beaches. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Quepos?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Quepos?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
