    Great!

I did the Chianti Tradition tour and had a great time. Highly recommended you should do it! The tour staff were great and very friendly. Nice pours of wine and the food was also delicious. My only regret was that I couldn't bring back cases of the delicious wine to Canada! (Canadian customs taxes us to death - the wineries we visited are more than able and happy to ship to other more progressive countries).

    Good Background on Tuscan Wines

If you are interested in a terrific educational experience concerning the wines of Tuscany, you should book the Tuscan wine tasting class at this school. Small participant size, very articulate teacher/sommelier and a good cross-section of wines from the area. You come away with a good background of the history of the wines as well as a chance to taste and contrast. The communication prior to the class is excellent as well as followup information you can download after the class is done. Highly recommend.

    Grape Tours Winter Wine Tour

We just completed a "once in a lifetime" tour of Italy yesterday, and I was so happy to get back to my computer so I could post this review! While in Florence, we booked the Winter Wine Tour from Grape Tours and it exceeded out expectations in every way! Ilaria was absolutely amazing and both her personable approach to the tour and her expertise of the wineries and area truly enhanced our experience. Both of the wineries we visited brought unique perspectives to the art of wine making and were exactly what we were hoping for on this tour. We live in the Paso Robles wine country in California and are anxious to receive the wines we purchased so we can fully compare the varietals. To anyone interested in experiencing the flavor, the art and the romance of the Tuscan wine region...look no further than these professionals!!

A great start to exploring Florence

We arrived in Florence a few hours before our class and found our way to the school. Our sommelier, Caterina, we very kind and easy to listen to, for a bunch of Americans lol. We very much enjoyed the history of the Tuscan wines and the lesson on how to taste the wines, most especially the lesson on how to make sure the wine is good to drink! We will spend the next 6 days exploring wines of Tuscany. We will be exploring other Tuscan towns so this info was prefect. Thank you so much.

    "Wine Time!" = Fun Time

If you're looking for a Tuscan wine tasting experience, this is the tour for you! We had a fantastic time. Our guide, Caterina was super friendly, funny, and interesting. You'll learn the proper way to taste and impress your friends. The food was delicious, the scenery breathtaking. It was a fun way to spend a day. My only regret is I wish I purchased more wine to take home! Cheers.

Journey through Italian Cheese: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Journey through Italian Cheese cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Journey through Italian Cheese take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Journey through Italian Cheese worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Journey through Italian Cheese?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Journey through Italian Cheese suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Journey through Italian Cheese?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Journey through Italian Cheese start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
