    Cusco group of 17

Amazing experience with our group of friends! A total of 17 people. The coordination of everything was impeccable, baggage collection, transportation to the places, pre check ins at the hotels, too comfortable everything! Our guide named Holber showed us everything with exemplary passion and patience. It's the best!

    Above-and-Beyond Service in Cusco

Had an amazing time in Cusco. Huge thanks to the Peru Well Served team for organizing such a smooth and well-planned trip. Everything was handled seamlessly from start to finish. One small thing that really stood out: during one activity, I had to pay a small compensation directly to a local operator due to a minor accident. When Peru Well Served later found out, they refunded the amount to me without me even asking. That level of care genuinely surprised me! Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly happy to hear that your trip to Cusco went smoothly and that you felt well cared for throughout. Our team is always here to support you — even in the smallest details — and it means the world to know it made a difference. We hope to welcome you back to Peru someday for another memorable journey!

5 star price, not 5 star service

Overall just an okay service. For the price, a lot was left to be desired and for the 5-star price, we don’t feel we received the tour/service we paid for and had multiple issues we had to solve (on vacation, we want to be enjoying vacation, not trying to solve things that should be been coordinated ahead of time). Multiple logistic issues and parts were left out. We were also told we would require to pay extra for certain services to only find out that was not necessary and just an overcharge by the tour company. Would not recommend.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t feel as smooth and special as you had hoped — that’s never what we want for our travelers, and we genuinely regret if at any point you felt let down. There were a few situations that, despite our best efforts, may not have been as clear or seamless as they should’ve been. For example, the luggage policy on the train to Machu Picchu can often catch travelers off guard. When we noticed the issue, our team offered to help cover part of the cost and proposed a reimbursement for the rest — always with the intention of easing the moment. In the case of Waynapicchu, this was a service we arranged at your request, and we included the necessary coordination and guiding support. We understand that sometimes the way services are broken down can feel confusing, and we’re very sorry if that was the case here. More than anything, we’re sorry that you had to deal with concerns during a time that should’ve been fully enjoyable. Even when some situations were outside our control, our Guest Experience team truly did their best to support you at every step. As a gesture of goodwill, we offered a complimentary transfer and proceeded with a refund for one activity — not because we didn’t want to offer it, but simply because time ran short and we wanted to do right by you. We take all feedback to heart and are always working to improve. We sincerely hope that, despite the bumps along the way, your time in Peru brought you some meaningful and memorable moments.

We were a group of 20 people, very well organized, lovely experience, tidy and very entertaining. We will certainly return to the family

Journey in Cusco: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lima.

How much does Journey in Cusco cost?

    +

Prices start at $500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lima usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Journey in Cusco take?

    +

Plan for about 192 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lima is not rushed.

Is Journey in Cusco worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lima, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Journey in Cusco?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Journey in Cusco suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 192-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Journey in Cusco?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lima can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lima and add a light layer if any part of the 192-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Journey in Cusco start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lima within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lima?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lima experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Paracas & Huacachina Day Trip from Lima with Sunset Toast, Paracas and Huacachina Exclusive Sunset Picnic Tour, Paracas & Huacachina Premium Experience from Lima. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lima?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lima?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
