    Seeing Prague with Experienced Photographer

I selected a 3‑hour photography tour with Johnny and it exceeded all expectations. Despite my injured knee, Johnny was incredibly thoughtful and adjusted the pace and route so I could still cover a surprising amount of ground. His knowledge of photography is exceptional — he doesn’t just point out locations, he teaches you how to see them. He encourages you to think about how you compose a shot, what settings will work best, and why. I finished the tour with photos I’m genuinely proud of, and I even returned to some of the same spots the next night when the light was better and captured even more stunning images of Prague. I could have spent three full days with Johnny and still not uncovered all the magic this city holds. A brilliant experience for any photographer.

Response from the operator: Betty, thank you so much. What stays with me from our evening together is that you didn't let the knee slow you down for a second — and then went back the next night to chase better light. That's exactly the mindset that makes a photographer. I'm glad you left with images you're proud of. And you're right, three days wouldn't be enough for Prague either. Wishing you a smooth recovery in September. Best, Jan

Amazing photographer, patient teacher and well prepared and thought-thru tour

I visited Prague for the first time and took a 1:1 photo walking tour with Johnny/Jan. It was a blast and I really enjoyed it. He is very patient and gave practical tips. He poses simple questions to make a person think and that will likely make me remember things. He also gave a few exercises that are also useful. He asked me about my level and skills so that he could customize and was well-prepared about the walking route and where to go. Clearly he has done this several times before because he knew about good spots.

Response from the operator: Thank you, Gaurav, for such a thoughtful review 😊 I’m really glad the practical tips, simple questions, and exercises helped you think differently about photography, and that the route felt well planned and efficient even in Prague’s summer heat. I’d be happy to photo walk with you again someday if the logistics work out—Best, Jan

    Very enjpyable experience

Jan is a very knowledgeable guide and knew exactly where (and when) to go to the best vantage points. He also pointed out the appropriate camera settings to guarantee the bet results for every shot. I enjoyed this trip very much since he is a very likable person as well which made this encounter a fun experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend him for everybody trying to improve on their knowledge regarding photography and the local culture.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Filemon! I’m really glad you enjoyed the timing and locations we chose, and that the camera tips helped you get the shots you were after. It means a lot to hear you had fun along the way too. I truly appreciate your recommendation and would love to explore more with you again anytime! Best, Jan

Amazing Experience! If you want to photograph Prague this is it!

Simply amazing! Johny is a wonderful photographer who showed me some great spots for photographing in Prague. Helped with settings, advice on composition and many other tips. I generally don’t do this type of photography but Johny open my eyes to a new world.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Filemon! I’m really happy you enjoyed the experience and that those spots, along with the tips on settings and composition, helped open up a whole new photographic world for you 📸. It would be great to explore more of the Czech Republic together again someday! Best, Jan

Johnny's Prague Photography Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Johnny's Prague Photography Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $161 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Johnny's Prague Photography Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Johnny's Prague Photography Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 91 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Johnny's Prague Photography Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Johnny's Prague Photography Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Johnny's Prague Photography Tour?

    +

Around 32 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Johnny's Prague Photography Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
