One of the Best Experiences in Phuket!

Our family had an absolutely unforgettable experience with John Gray’s Sea Canoe, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Phuket. From the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel incredibly welcome. The hospitality was outstanding, and everyone was warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great day. The food was exceptional, with an amazing selection of delicious Thai dishes throughout the trip. There was plenty to enjoy, and every meal exceeded our expectations. The canoeing experience itself was simply spectacular. Our guides were incredibly experienced and skilled, confidently navigating us through narrow cave passages into breathtaking hidden lagoons. It was amazing to watch how they expertly read the tides and water levels, knowing the perfect moment to enter each cave safely. Their knowledge and professionalism gave us complete confidence throughout the journey. We also loved being able to swim and canoe around the main boat, which added another fun dimension to an already incredible day. If you’re visiting Phuket, this tour is an absolute must. It’s beautifully organised, professionally run, and offers a truly unique way to experience the stunning limestone caves and hidden lagoons. This is one of the best tours we’ve ever done and, without question, one of the top experiences in Phuket. Highly recommended!

Amazing time!

This kayaking tour was easily the highlight of our trip! We got to explore beautiful caves and see incredible scenery that we never would have experienced otherwise. Even though it was raining during our tour, it didn't take away from the experience at all. Our guide, New, went above and beyond to make sure everyone had an amazing time, kept the energy positive, and made the adventure both fun and memorable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area—it was an unforgettable experience!

Kayaks, Lights, Action!

We were given the details of this trip from a friend at the hotel we stayed at, so glad we went as the Staff were amazing and thoughtful, they put on two delicious spreads for the tour. The tour itself was divine. We went through three separate caves, enjoyed seeing the wildlife (which included monkeys, bats, mud skippers and sea egrets) - the ending at the final cave where we were able to see the bioluminescent plankton. Thank you so much to the amazing Staff - Definitely will do this again.

John Gray’s Private Hong by Starlight Tour with Sea Cave Kayaking: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does John Gray’s Private Hong by Starlight Tour with Sea Cave Kayaking cost?

+

Prices start at $5128 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does John Gray’s Private Hong by Starlight Tour with Sea Cave Kayaking take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is John Gray’s Private Hong by Starlight Tour with Sea Cave Kayaking worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule John Gray’s Private Hong by Starlight Tour with Sea Cave Kayaking?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is John Gray’s Private Hong by Starlight Tour with Sea Cave Kayaking suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book John Gray’s Private Hong by Starlight Tour with Sea Cave Kayaking?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does John Gray’s Private Hong by Starlight Tour with Sea Cave Kayaking start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Phuket Thai Cooking Class with Market Tour Option, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
