Pura Luhur Besi Kalung, which is located in Utu Traditional Village, Penebel Tabanan, has a unique characteristic as the residence of a hundred-year-old Linga Yoni with a chain necklace that sounds like a gong when struck. It is therefore assumed that the chain necklace is made of steel from which the name 'Iron' (steel) originates. It is believed that if the Linga Yoni tilts to one side, it foretells a national disaster.

A very interesting and pleasant tour through the rice fields
We had a great time. The ride is interesting and our Guide made the difference. He explained the properties of plants and leaves, organoleptic characteristics and medical properties. In addition to the rice fields we went to a temple. The Guide's name was Gideon and I would definitely recommend it. The bikes were comfortable and simple.

Fabulous trip through rice paddies with our amazing guide
We had a great time with our guide Gideon. We are in our 60s but reasonably fit and up for an adventure ... my friend had never ridden an ebike before and it had been a while for me. There was just us on the tour (plus our driver joined us) with Gideon our guide. He went at a pace we were comfortable with and was very kind and helpful. There are lots of hills so appreciated the e bikes. We were a bit cautious on the down hills but confident bikers would no doubt find it exciting. There were no other cyclists to be seen except at the very end. In fact we hardly saw anyone at all. We visited a very ancient temple which was beautiful. Also saw a couple of stalls selling water and local snacks. There was a place that sold food and coffee which was closed due to it being a holiday. It felt like it was in the middle of nowhere! At the end we had lunch with our guide (included in the price). Gideon was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Giri tours are located an hour or so from Ubud. The drive there was through interesting countryside including jungle. We hired a driver and we had enough time to stop elsewhere if we had wanted to. We would definitely recommend as we really enjoyed our day. Thanks Gideon

Unforgettable family experience, ideal with teenagers
Magical morning in this incredibly beautiful place. The electric bikes allowed us to access trails without any tourists, in the middle of August, and to discover the rice fields without fatigue and without suffering from the heat. Our guide Gilang is absolutely adorable, very professional. He speaks English perfectly and gave us a lot of explanations and information. Although the price is a little high, we do not regret this break in our budget because the experience will be unforgettable for us and our 2 teenagers. The visit really wouldn't have been the same on foot. They would have moaned even though they loved it! A very nice family moment!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoy your experience and we are honored to be part of your happy memories!

Great experience with Giri eBikes
Great thing to do to rent bike to go around Jatiluwih rice fields. They have electric bikes which is great as there are some hills. It is so great to go by bike as you can also visit a unique temple a bit far away. And fully recommend to book sunrise with them, you wake up 5:30 and they would bring you to rice field to see sunrise and explain local things. Great experience and great tourist guides!!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your kind review. We are glad that you enjoy your experience with us. hopefully we can meet again.

a very memorable experience enjoying the atmosphere of the rice fields and beautiful scenery using an ebike, really a fun bike not a pain bike. The guide also explains in detail about culture, geography, farmers' way of life and about agriculture in Jatiluwih. I highly recommend Giri ebikes tours for tours in Jatiluwih, Thank you Giri ebikes for a pleasant cycling experience. One day I will come back again, see you guys..

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Jatiluwih E-bikes Tour Cycling Group: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ubud.
How much does Jatiluwih E-bikes Tour Cycling Group cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ubud usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Jatiluwih E-bikes Tour Cycling Group take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ubud is not rushed.
Is Jatiluwih E-bikes Tour Cycling Group worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ubud, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Jatiluwih E-bikes Tour Cycling Group?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jatiluwih E-bikes Tour Cycling Group suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Jatiluwih E-bikes Tour Cycling Group?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ubud can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ubud and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jatiluwih E-bikes Tour Cycling Group start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ubud within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ubud?
+
On Outty we rank every Ubud experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mount Batur Jeep Adventure, Best of Ubud Full-Day Tour with Jungle Swing, Full-Day Tour to Water Temples and UNESCO Rice Terraces in Bali. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ubud?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ubud?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
