What you'll see and do
Ao Po Pier
Start your Phang Nga Bay journey at Ao Po Pier on Phuket’s northeast coast. After hotel pickup, meet your guide, complete check-in, receive a safety briefing and board the selected boat option. This pier is the starting point for both the speedboat and big boat programs. Travelers can settle in, prepare cameras and enjoy the first views before cruising toward Phang Nga Bay’s limestone islands, sea caves and emerald waters. Soft drinks and refreshments may be served on board according to the selected package. Timing may change depending on pickup route, pier traffic, tide and sea conditions.
20 minutes here
Phang Nga Bay.
Cruise through Phang Nga Bay, one of southern Thailand’s most scenic marine landscapes, known for emerald water, mangrove areas and dramatic limestone cliffs rising from the sea. This part of the journey gives travelers wide panoramic views before the canoeing and island stops begin. The speedboat option offers a faster island-hopping experience, while the big boat option gives a more relaxed cruise with time to enjoy the scenery from the deck. The route and photo stops may be adjusted by the guide and captain depending on tide, sea level and weather conditions.
Pass by without stopping
Koh Panak Cave
Explore the natural beauty of Ko Panak, a famous Phang Nga Bay island known for sea caves, limestone formations and hidden lagoon scenery. Depending on the tide, travelers may enjoy guided canoeing through cave areas such as Bat Cave, Mangrove Cave, Mut Cave or Hoy Tib Cave. In the speedboat option, extra cave sightseeing may include Ice Cream Cave and Diamond Cave when conditions allow. A local canoe paddler helps guests move safely through narrow cave entrances, giving close-up views of rock formations, mangrove life and the peaceful cave-like “hong” atmosphere.
45 minutes here
Enjoy guided canoeing around Ko Hong in Phang Nga Bay, a highlight for travelers who want to experience the area’s cave-like rooms, calm emerald water and towering limestone walls from close range. Guests sit in a canoe handled by a local oarsman while the guide explains the scenery and safe route through the island’s sheltered channels. The stop is ideal for photography, nature views and a quiet break from the main boat. Canoeing time is usually around 30 minutes, but the exact route depends on tide, sea level, wind and local safety conditions.
45 minutes here
Visit Ko Panyi, the well-known floating sea village in Phang Nga Bay, if included in the selected speedboat option. Travelers can enjoy lunch at the village, see houses and walkways built over the water, and observe the local fishing-community atmosphere surrounded by limestone cliffs. For the big boat option, lunch is normally served on board instead of stopping here, so this stop should be treated as speedboat-option only. The guide will advise the exact lunch arrangement on the travel date based on the selected package, timing, tide and operating conditions.
60 minutes here
Pass by or stop near Khao Khian, a limestone cliff area in Phang Nga Bay known for ancient rock drawings. Travelers can view the markings from the boat or nearby viewing point while the guide explains the importance of the site and the surrounding mangrove landscape. This is a short cultural and photo stop that adds history to the natural sightseeing route. Access and viewing distance can vary depending on tide, sea level and boat traffic, so the captain may adjust the approach for safety while still giving guests time to see the paintings.
15 minutes here
James Bond Island
Visit Khao Phing Kan and view Ko Tapu, the iconic limestone rock popularly known as James Bond Island after its appearance in The Man with the Golden Gun. Travelers can walk around the scenic island area, take photos of the famous rock formation, enjoy the dramatic cliffs and browse small local stalls if available. This is one of the main highlights of the tour. National Park Fee is not included in the tour price and must be paid directly if required by the park or local operator. Visit time may change depending on crowds, tide and weather.
45 minutes here · Admission not included
Naka Island
Relax at Naka Island if the speedboat option is selected. This beach stop gives travelers free time to swim, rest on the sand, take photos or simply enjoy the tropical scenery after the sightseeing and canoeing program. It is a good final island break before returning toward Ao Po Pier and the hotel transfer. Guests should bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and a dry bag for personal items. The beach stop may be changed, shortened or replaced by the guide and captain depending on tide, sea conditions, weather and marine safety rules.
45 minutes here
Phang Nga Bay.
Relax and swim at Kaya Island if the big boat option is selected. This stop is planned as the beach and swimming break after the main Phang Nga Bay sightseeing, canoeing and James Bond Island visit. Travelers can enjoy calm water, beach scenery and free time before returning to Ao Po Pier. The guide and captain will confirm whether swimming is suitable on the day, as the final beach stop depends on tide, wind, weather and sea conditions. Guests should bring swimwear, towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera and a small amount of cash for personal expenses.

Excellent Way to See a Variety of Islands
Great way to see a variety of islands all in one trip! I opted for the big boat. I appreciate that transportation to and from my hotel was included. The guide was great. All the islands we visited were stunning. The canoeing in the caves and islands was very exciting. The food served on board was incredible and I appreciate that it was non spicy thai food. Even had a relaxing swim stop. I highly recommend!

The most amazing trip by speed boat to see Phang Nga Bay, Koh Panak cave (by canoe), Ko Hong, Ko Panyi, Khao Khian, Khao Phing Kan (James Bond island) and finishing on Naka Island with the whitest, purest sand. ☀️🩵 Mac, our guide was brilliant, couldn’t have done more for us. Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
James Bond, Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island Tour from Phuket: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does James Bond, Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island Tour from Phuket cost?
+
Prices start at $1150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does James Bond, Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island Tour from Phuket take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is James Bond, Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island Tour from Phuket worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule James Bond, Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island Tour from Phuket?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is James Bond, Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island Tour from Phuket suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book James Bond, Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island Tour from Phuket?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does James Bond, Phang Nga Bay and Hong Island Tour from Phuket start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
