Unforgettable James Bond Island Adventure!

From the moment we hopped on the speedboat, it was nothing but stunning views, good vibes, and fun. The boat ride was smooth and scenic, and the islands we visited were straight out of a postcard. Canoeing through the caves was such a cool experience — quiet, relaxing, and the views were unreal. Of course, seeing James Bond Island up close was a total bucket list moment! Our guide was so friendly and funny, and really made the day even better. Lunch at the floating village was delicious too! Honestly, this is a must-do if you’re in Phuket. We loved every minute!

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear you had such an amazing time on the James Bond Island Adventure. It sounds like you really soaked in the stunning views and had fun from start to finish — exactly what we hope for every guest! Canoeing through the caves and visiting James Bond Island truly are unforgettable experiences, and we’re glad they were just as magical for you. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words along to your guide and the team at the floating village. We really appreciate you recommending us and hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon! Warm regards, Nick (IAsia Thailand Online)

Literally missed out one of the stops

The reason why I gave 2 stars and not 1 is because the places we visited were beautiful, the view from the ship was great and the jumping into the water was one of the best parts. On the other hand we arrived nerby the bay way to late and spent half an hour on a viewpoint which was worth for a few pictures. It was so clear that the main purpose behind this was to get customers for the restaurant and hotel at the viewpoint. When the description says it the tour takes approx. 8 hours, that starts from the part when the driver starts to pick up the people. We only left the bay at 11am while the pickup time was at 8:30. But the main reason for the negative review is: the description lies. That is it. Examples: "Experience Southern Thailand’s natural beauty Phuket on this guided excursion. After a convenient hotel pickup, enjoy a boat ride to Ao Phang Nga National Park and marvel at the towering limestone formations featured in “The Man With a Golden Gun.” Stop by a floating fishing village, kick back at Hong Island’s gorgeous beach, and admire the magical scenery at Phang Nga Bay." Start from Phang Nga Bay, visited the James Bond island, had our lunch on the boat, had a canoe trip aroung the rocks of Hong island, jump in the water from the boat and go back to Phang Nga Bay. That's it. The part where it says "Stop by a floating fishing village, kick back at Hong Island’s gorgeous beach" did not happen at all. I was really exited to get to the village and walk around there but no. Nothing. I saw the village from several miles away, small dots in the distance, could recognise the temple based on the images I found on the internet. I was extremely disappointed. I was really exited to see that place and that was the main event for me in this tour. But in the end we did not even go near that place. Also we did not visit any beaches on at Hong island. I mean after missing the village, that was just the top of the iceberg. I am sorry for the negative review but this trip it was partly a disappointment for me.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thanks for the review and obviously we need to investigate this. Did you mention this to the guide of the local office while in destination? Please do send me your booking details and i will investigate and share our report here Thanks, Nick nick@iasiathailand.com

Wasn’t the best tour I’ve been on, crowded and overpriced

The guide was good, spoke good English but not much information was given. It’s a 2 hour windy journey from Patong to the boat meeting point, our driver drove extremely fast around windy roads and the minibus was jammed pack and very hot. Driver was also 45 mins late picking up. We then got to the boat and 80-90 people were packed on like sardines to a big boat, only around 3 English tourists inc myself, it was loud and extremely busy with hardly anywhere to sit. We visited James Bond island which is beautiful but extremely touristy (don’t let anyone take photos of you because they will then drag you to their shop and demand you to buy something from them!), we only had around 30 minutes here. Then onto Hong island which is also stunning, there was an option to kanoe around the island or swim. Then back to meet the bus. The tour makes it seem that you visit 3 places, when in fact Phang Nga Bay is where James Bond Island is. Lunch was nice and good selection. Only water and orange juice was included and the water wasn’t kept cold so was warm water.

A crowded tourist cruise

The cruise with Sea Angel was good and straightforward. The guide Tommy was funny and helpful. The cruise provided chilled drinks throughout the journey and a decent lunch. The top deck AC was not great. Toilets are basic. Visit to each attraction is good with decent time allotted to move about on our own. However, wach attraction is jam packed with tourists.

James Bond Island Adventure: Speedboat & Canoe Expedition: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does James Bond Island Adventure: Speedboat & Canoe Expedition cost?

+

Prices start at $2100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does James Bond Island Adventure: Speedboat & Canoe Expedition take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is James Bond Island Adventure: Speedboat & Canoe Expedition worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule James Bond Island Adventure: Speedboat & Canoe Expedition?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is James Bond Island Adventure: Speedboat & Canoe Expedition suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book James Bond Island Adventure: Speedboat & Canoe Expedition?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does James Bond Island Adventure: Speedboat & Canoe Expedition start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
