Top off family Jamaican trip!
What a way to top off our Jamaican vacay. Mark showed us around his farm, treated us like family, and fed us the most delicious fruits- 3 types of Mangos with three distinct tastes! Delicious pineapples, melons, and local fruits. The tour was educational as it was entertaining. Marks knows his stuff.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for coming up to the farm on your trip! We appreciate your visit, as well as your review. One love 🌿

Tropical Fruit Farm Experience.
I don’t even know where to begin. Mark was an excellent host. He welcomed us into his home with open arms. He picked us up from our Airbnb, took us to get drinks and headed up to his property. We were also welcomed by his friendly pups and cats. Once we got there we were treated with a delicious fresh fruit salad straight from his garden. Watermelon, pineapples, passion fruit, guava etc it was all amazing and delicious. Afterwards we took a tour of the entire property, looking at all the wonderful fruits and vegetables that’s growing in his garden. The tour 4/20 friendly so smoking is allowed on the tour. My wife and I sampled so many different types of mangoes we were having a blast. After the tour, Mark prepared for us a wonderful jerk chicken dinner. By far of the best meals I had since being in Jamaica. It was just me and my wife on the tour so it felt very personal and intimate. I would recommend this to folks who are interested in learning about the fruits Jamaica has to offer.
Response from the operator: Thank you for visiting and we're so glad you enjoyed yourselves and your farm fresh Jamaican meal. Guests may luck out with a private tour, as we keep the schedule open every day to provide that personal service, and schedule farm work around booked tours. Thanks for your amazing review - and we hope you come back next time! 💚

Unique experience
It was a cool experience to see where all the tropical fruits grow in Jamaica and taste the freshest produce. It felt like a private experience in Mark's home with his sweet cats and dogs. He has built a very unique experience and has grand plans for expansion. The tour would be even better if he gave more information about him, how he came to doing this, and sharing more about the fruit. He was happy to answer questions, but I'm sure we could have learned more if he added that educational component to the first part of the tour. It was also a bit long at times, especially in the heat. Keeping it closer to 2 hours instead of 3 would allow guests to keep on schedule with their plans and give Mark some time for his grand projects.
Response from the operator: Hi and thank you so much for coming, and for your informative review! The tour is interactive and we hope all your questions were answered. Guests often like to stay and soak in the vibes, and we aim to offer more than asked for - granted, if anyone has a set schedule, we will oblige. We are happy you have experienced a glimpse into real Jamaican life. One love 🌿

Very wholesome tour
Mark is a genuinely kind person who clearly loves sharing what he grows with others. He provided round-trip transportation from our Airbnb to his farm, which made the experience even more convenient. Be prepared—it gets very hot and humid on the farm, so I recommend wearing long pants and bringing bug spray. When we arrived, Mark treated us to a delicious fruit salad made with fresh fruit grown right on his property. He gives a small tour of the farm, explaining what he grows, and encourages you to taste, touch, and smell many of the plants and fruits. It's a very hands-on and educational experience. He has about four+ dogs for security, but the ones that roam freely are sweet, playful, and full of personality. There are also two orange cats that seem to be the farm's cleanup crew, along with birds and even a snake. If you have the option to pay extra for the meal, I highly recommend it—you won't regret it. Mark cooks with an abundance of fresh vegetables and flavorful seasonings from the farm, and he also serves an incredibly refreshing smoothie. The atmosphere is very 4/20-friendly, which adds to the laid-back vibe. He also grow his own weed! You can tell that Mark has poured his heart, hard work, and dedication into this farm. It was a memorable experience, and I wish him nothing but continued success.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much coming and for your review- appreciate you! Check us out when you're back next time 🌿

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Jamaican Roots Tropical Farm Tour - Taste & Explore (Negril) 2hr: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Negril.
How much does Jamaican Roots Tropical Farm Tour - Taste & Explore (Negril) 2hr cost?
+
Prices start at $98 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Negril usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Jamaican Roots Tropical Farm Tour - Taste & Explore (Negril) 2hr take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Negril is not rushed.
Is Jamaican Roots Tropical Farm Tour - Taste & Explore (Negril) 2hr worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 43 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Negril, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Jamaican Roots Tropical Farm Tour - Taste & Explore (Negril) 2hr?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jamaican Roots Tropical Farm Tour - Taste & Explore (Negril) 2hr suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Jamaican Roots Tropical Farm Tour - Taste & Explore (Negril) 2hr?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Negril can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Negril and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jamaican Roots Tropical Farm Tour - Taste & Explore (Negril) 2hr start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Negril within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Negril?
+
On Outty we rank every Negril experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Transportation and Tour from Montego Bay to Blue Hole/Secret Falls, Negril Glass Bottom Boat Tour Snorkeling and Booby Cay, ATV, Bamboo Rafting and Negril Ricks Cafe from Montego Bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Negril?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Negril?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
