Fun and friendly
Our experience with Know Jamaica Tours was absolutely outstanding! From start to finish, everything was well organized, and our tour guide, Chris, made the day unforgettable. He was friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, and made us feel like family from the moment we met him. The bamboo rafting was one of the highlights of our trip—peaceful, scenic, and a perfect way to experience Jamaica's natural beauty. What really set this tour apart was the opportunity to experience the local cuisine and authentic Jamaican culture. Chris shared fascinating stories, introduced us to delicious local food, and gave us a true taste of the island beyond the typical tourist attractions. If you're looking for an authentic Jamaican experience with a guide who genuinely loves his country and enjoys sharing it with others, I highly recommend Know Jamaica Tours. Thank you, Chris, for making our vacation even more memorable. We can't wait to come back

Wow - what an amazing day!
An amazing day well spent with the family and our wonderful driver Dwayne! We were picked up on time from our resort and taken to the local markets where the locals buy fresh fruit and meat. We found some delicious little bits to take away with us and we also tasted some fantastic samples along the way. We then went on a lovely drive throughout the suburbs passing from st Ann to St Mary. The driver kindly stopped for us to get some sugar cane which was amazing. Throughout the tour Dwayne was extremely informative and shed a lot of knowledge on Jamaica’s history. We then went to the Konoko falls and gardens which was a lovely experience. The gardens were beautiful and the falls were a lot quieter than Dunns River. After the climb we made our way to the jerk centre for a quick bite to eat. Finally Dwayne took us back to the resort but offered us any last stops before we returned. So we decided to stop at the gifts stores on the way back. I highly recommend this tour and the company. They’re so considerate and passionate about ensuring a phenomenal experience. Thank you so much! 10/10 recommend!!
Response from the operator: Greatness, we are happy that you enjoyed your time with our services and that you took the time out to review our services, please come again and don't hesitate to book again. One Love always..

Highly recommend!
This was a great experience, if you want to learn some Jamaican history! We had a great time checking out the market, trying some delicious fruits with a quick stop at Juici Patties. Blue hole was a highlight, beautiful waterfalls and even 83yr old father-in-law jumped in, the water was so refreshing! Highly recommend this tour with Dwayne and Know Jamaica Tours!
Response from the operator: Thank you for business & the time taken to add a review, we appreciate you, please don't hesitate to book again...

Local Cultural Experience
My family really enjoyed the tour. It was a great local cultural experience to leave the resort and explore Ocho Rios with a local driver to show us around. We completed the tour on a Monday which the driver shared was a slower day at the market so would recommend a weekend day for an even more local experience. While we were able to try a few local foods in the market as well as at the Jerk Centre; however the highlight for my family was Kokono Falls & Park. The educational tour of the gardens as well as the waterfalls was amazing. I would recommend even more focus on the Jamaican foodie aspect of the tour for an increased local experience. Overall, I would recommend this experience in Ocho Rios.
Response from the operator: We appreciate your business & the time taken to add a review of our services, one love and thanks again.:

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Jamaica Foodie and Cultural Experience & Konoko Falls Ocho Rios: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Runaway Bay.
How much does Jamaica Foodie and Cultural Experience & Konoko Falls Ocho Rios cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Runaway Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Jamaica Foodie and Cultural Experience & Konoko Falls Ocho Rios take?
+
Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Runaway Bay is not rushed.
Is Jamaica Foodie and Cultural Experience & Konoko Falls Ocho Rios worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Runaway Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Jamaica Foodie and Cultural Experience & Konoko Falls Ocho Rios?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jamaica Foodie and Cultural Experience & Konoko Falls Ocho Rios suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Jamaica Foodie and Cultural Experience & Konoko Falls Ocho Rios?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Runaway Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Runaway Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jamaica Foodie and Cultural Experience & Konoko Falls Ocho Rios start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Runaway Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Runaway Bay?
+
On Outty we rank every Runaway Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Sightseeing Tour in and Around Ocho Rios, Blue Hole and Bamboo Rafting Ocho Rios, Jungle River Tubing and Beach Adventure with Transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Runaway Bay?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Runaway Bay?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
