Great Experience in India

I had a truly wonderful experience with the volunteer program in India. From the moment I arrived at the airport, everything was very well organized. The pickup was smooth, and the team communicated clearly throughout the entire process. They explained the volunteer program in detail, which made me feel comfortable and prepared from the beginning. One of the most special parts of this experience was living with a local Indian family. They were incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. It gave me a chance to experience authentic Indian culture and daily life in a very meaningful way. The homemade food was absolutely delicious, made with so much care and love. The entire experience felt heartwarming and unforgettable. Volunteering here was not just a program — it was a beautiful life experience that gave me new perspectives, meaningful connections, and memories I will always cherish. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience India beyond tourism and be part of something truly meaningful.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your beautiful and heartfelt review! We are truly happy to hear that you had such a meaningful experience with our volunteer program in India. It means a lot to our entire team to know that you felt welcomed, comfortable, and supported from the moment you arrived. We’re especially glad that you enjoyed staying with the local host family and experiencing authentic Indian culture and homemade food. Creating a warm and family-like environment for our volunteers is something we deeply value. Your kind words about the program, the cultural exchange, and the memories you created truly inspire us to continue our work with passion and dedication. It was a pleasure having you as part of our volunteer family, and we are grateful for the positive energy and kindness you shared during your stay. Thank you once again for recommending our program to future travelers and volunteers. We hope to welcome you back to India again someday! Warm regards, Sukret Sharma

Indian immersion.

My 14 year old son and I travelled from the United States to immerse ourselves in a different culture. As part of that experience I wanted him to see how different his life is compared to some other children in the world. Volunteering with VWI tours definitely gave him that experience. We spent time with some wonderful kids that come from very different walks of life and really enjoyed the energy and experience of working with them. We stayed with a very welcoming family and ate some delicious home cooked meals. The sightseeing opportunities in Jaipur are endless - we particularly enjoyed Galtaji - the Monkey Temple. Our contact Rohit was very professional and made us feel very welcome.

Response from the operator: Thank you David it has been such wonderful time with you. Wishing you all best !

A unique family experience of life in India

I visited Jaipur with my family (2 adults, 3 pre-teen children) in March 2019, and stayed for 4 days with a wonderful host family, organized by Volunteering with India. They also arranged a three day visit to a school for displaced boys who had been rescued from child labour, and were looking for their families. We spent time with the boys, doing crafts, watching them act in a play, and reviewing basic English and Math skills with them. Having previously worked in India many years ago, I felt it was important for my children to have a range of experiences, including ones that showed the complexities and challenges of this incredible country, even if our time was quite short. I believe our actual contribution to the school was limited to giving the regular teachers there a bit of a break - which in itself was worth it. My children were very engaged with the boys - we still talk about the experience even now that we are home several years later. We all found it hard, but it brought a little perspective on life very different from the one inside our own small bubble. The organizers at Volunteering with India, our guides, and our host family were all kind, attentive, easy to work with, and ensured that we were well cared for. If you only have a short time in Jaipur, and are interested in learning a little bit about life in India beyond the typical tourist experience, I recommend Volunteering with India as something to explore.

Response from the operator: Thank you Lara for writing such a great review for our program. We are happy to hear that you still remember us and our children in the program. We wish you all best of all your family members and hoping to see you soon again in Jaipur.

How long does Jaipur Volunteer Experience: Make a Difference in India (3 Days) take?

+

Is Jaipur Volunteer Experience: Make a Difference in India (3 Days) worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaipur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Jaipur Volunteer Experience: Make a Difference in India (3 Days)?

+

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 96-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Jaipur Volunteer Experience: Make a Difference in India (3 Days)?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaipur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaipur and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Jaipur?

+

On Outty we rank every Jaipur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour from Delhi By Car -All inclusive, Private Jaipur Full One Day Tour In Pink City With Guide, Private Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing Tour By Tuk Tuk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Jaipur?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Jaipur?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
