Amazing
Not only did I learn to cook, I also learned about the food, spices and heritage. Monty is so highly experienced and passionate about what he does, it makes the experience extra special. Highly recommend and I’d definitely do it again.

Great experiance
We really liked the cooking class with this family. We got a private class where we coud cook by ourselfs. We made three meals as well as rice, chapati and a dessert. The meals were relativly simple every day dishes, that you hardly get in restaurants. However, you can also ask to cook other recipes, if you want. At the end of the class, they will send you the recipes, so you can retry at home. Everything we coocked, tasted great. It was a very authentic cooking class in the home of a wonderful indian family.

Home away from home
I had the most wonderful experience joining Harshita for a cooking class in her home in Jaipur. I was warmly welcomed into her home like an old friend which made me feel completely at ease. Together, we cooked up a delicious feast of Indian classics, with Hashita guiding me step by step in a very hands-on and interactive way. The spice levels were thoughtfully adjusted to suit my sensitive Western stomach, which I really appreciated, and I still felt like I was getting an authentic taste of Indian flavours. The class was not only about cooking but also about connection—sharing stories, laughter, and culture. After all the fun in the kitchen, i was joined by Monty and their young daughter and we sat down together to enjoy the meal Harshita and I had prepared, which was such a special highlight. It truly felt like being part of their family for the day. I can’t recommend this experience enough—it was amazing from start to finish. Thank you so much, Monty and Harshita, for such a memorable and heartwarming experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you for much for coming to our home and we enjoyed as much as you did. Thanks,

This cooking class is on my bucket list!
I am impatient to meet chef Swati for an exciting cooking class on our new trip to Jaipur. We were in Jaipur last February and Naveen, Swati's husband was our great guide. He talked about her cooking talents in such a mouthwatering and loving way that I am impatient to learn with her how to prepare my favorite curries and lentil dishes.

We had the best time!
We had such a lovely time with Monty and his family! We made some delicious food that they adapted (no spice!) with no issues to our request. They instantly made us feel welcome like we had been friends for a long time. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jaipur!
Response from the operator: Thank you for coming to our home and we enjoyed hosting you for the cooking class. Many thanks,

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family in Jaipur: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jaipur.
How much does Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family in Jaipur cost?
+
Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jaipur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family in Jaipur take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jaipur is not rushed.
Is Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family in Jaipur worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 94 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Jaipur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family in Jaipur?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family in Jaipur suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family in Jaipur?
+
Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jaipur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jaipur and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jaipur Cooking Class with a Local Family in Jaipur start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jaipur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jaipur?
+
On Outty we rank every Jaipur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour from Delhi By Car -All inclusive, Private Jaipur Full One Day Tour In Pink City With Guide, Private Full Day Jaipur Sightseeing Tour By Tuk Tuk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jaipur?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jaipur?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
