Beautiful day in Tuscany, with great wine, food, and guide Clemente!

We toured with Clemente and he was a fantastic guide. We were on our honeymoon and were along with another couple, and a family of 4. This small intimate group with Clemente leading the way made for a very enjoyable experience where we had a great time with everyone involved. The places we went to were very different, but equally enjoyable. The wine and food were of course the highlight! Clemente made sure to give us time to take pictures, give us any extra tidbits as he is very knowledgeable himself, and even brought us to the famous Piazza de Michelangelo viewing point at the end of our half day together. Would highly recommend and hopefully will come back another time!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the lovely review! We’re so happy you chose to spend part of your honeymoon with us and that you had such a great day with Clemente. We’ll make sure he sees your kind words. We hope to welcome you back to Tuscany one day! 🍷 All the best, Rebecca & the Grape Tours team

    Fantastic wine tour!

We had a fantastic experience with Grape Tours for our Tuscan wine tour. We did the Wine Time tour, which lasted about 5.5 hours and took us to two different wineries. Both were lovely properties with excellent wine, with the proprietors giving tours and walking us through the tasting. Lunch was served at the second winery and was delicious, Tuscan focused food in an absolutely beautiful setting. As seems to be the case across Tuscany, the sample pours from the wineries are pretty much full glasses - no skimping here! The real highlight of this tour though was our guide, Dáire. He was just wonderful - so kind and enthusiastic and most of all, extremely knowledgeable about wine production and the Italian wine industry. We learned a lot on this tour thanks to him, despite having been to many wineries before. He was keen to ensure all 7 of us were having a great time, and ensured pictures were taken which were later shared with us. If you're looking for a wine tour out of Florence, look no further - Grape Tours is your answer. And hopefully you get D as your guide!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Dan! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Wine Time tour and that both wineries, the lunch, and of course the generous Tuscan pours made such for a gret time! A special thank you for your kind words about Dáire—we'll be sure to share them with him. We hope to welcome you back to Tuscany for another grape adventure soon! 🍷

One of the best guided tours we’ve been on

One of the best guided tours we have ever been on, regardless of the type of tour. From the moment we were greeted until the moment we were dropped off, we felt welcomed, cared for, and fully immersed in the culture, history, and traditions of Tuscany and Italian winemaking. A special shoutout to Luca. If you have the opportunity to choose your guide, make sure it is him. He is highly respected within the wine industry, well known by the vineyard owners, and brings an incredible combination of knowledge, energy, humor, and professionalism. He was never dull, always inclusive, and truly a man of many talents. What made this tour so special was Luca’s ability to bring people together. We started the day as strangers and ended it hugging each other goodbye. Throughout the entire experience, he took the time to build rapport with everyone, educate us on the winemaking process, explain the history of the region, and teach us how to properly taste and appreciate wine. We left with a much deeper understanding of not only how wine is made, but also the passion, care, and dedication that goes into every bottle. The vineyards we visited were absolutely beautiful, and the owners and staff were just as welcoming and attentive as Luca. They genuinely seemed grateful that we were there, and you could feel the pride, love, and appreciation they have for both their craft and the Tuscan countryside. Lunch was delicious and clearly prepared with care. Every part of the meal reflected the effort, time, and attention that went into creating it, and it was the perfect complement to the wines we enjoyed throughout the day. Transportation was excellent as well. The van was spacious, comfortable, air conditioned, and allowed everyone to easily hear Luca throughout the drive. As someone who gets car sick, I was pleasantly surprised that I had no issues at all, even on the winding roads through the hills. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Florence, whether you are looking to explore the Tuscan countryside, learn about wine, or simply enjoy an unforgettable day outside the city. We cannot thank Luca, the Grape Tours team, and the vineyard owners and staff enough for welcoming us into their homes and businesses with such open arms. We enjoyed the experience so much that we purchased 12 bottles of wine, six from each vineyard, as well as olive oil to be shipped home. Not only are we excited to enjoy them when we return, but it also felt great supporting local businesses and the people who make Tuscany such a special place. Thank you again to Luca, the entire Grape Tours team, and the vineyard owners and staff for an incredible experience. We arrived as visitors and left feeling like friends.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Luke, for this incredibly thoughtful review. We're truly honored to hear that this was one of the best guided tours you've ever experienced. Luca will be delighted to read your kind words! Creating meaningful connections between guests, guides, and local producers is exactly what we strive for, and we're so happy you left feeling like friends. Enjoy the wines and olive oil when they arrive home, and we hope to welcome you back to Tuscany someday! 🍷🌿

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
