Glenfinnan Viaduct
Our tour moves on, stopping for the highlight of our day; the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Surrounded by mountains of the shores of Loch Shiel, Glenfinnan Monument symbolises one of the most important events in Scottish history; the 1745 Jacobite Uprising. We spend approximately one hour at the Monument; plenty of time to learn the history of the Jacobites, and take your iconic photos of the famous bridge. The location is not only famous for the Harry Potter bridge; Loch Shiel was the location of the 'Black Lake'; see if you can spot a 'grindylow' under the surface causing mischief! It's also the setting for Buckbeak's beautiful flight, scenes from the Triwizard Tournament and also the stunning loch where Hogwarts is based.

Mallaig
From Glenfinnan and its spectacular viaduct and monument, we journey westwards to Mallaig on the 'road to the Isles', or 'Rathad nan Eilean'. The area was run by the Clan Donald, and is said to have some of the most spectacular scenery in the world, with sandy beaches, dramatic hills and unforgettable sea views, it's one not to be missed! At the end of the road, we reach Mallaig, a scenic fishing port. Mallaig comes from the old Norse, 'Mel Vik', meaning a sand dune bay. Spend time here for lunch, perhaps sample some of the local seafood, and enjoy the sea views.

After Mallaig, our Harry Potter tour travels eastwards, to Loch Ness and stops at Fort Augustus. Enjoy refreshments here, with beautiful views over the loch,

Our final stop of the day is at Dores Beach, the most northerly point of Loch Ness. The beach provides a great viewpoint to the loch; from here you can see all the way down Loch Ness - ideal for spotting signs of Nessie! Enjoyable, good coverage, nice pace
Enjoyed a comfortable small-group tour with Timberbush guide Ben. He kept everything on time and all the spots fitted in nicely and comfortably with no hurries. Great locations for a general experience of the Highlands. Besides the main spots in Glenfinnan and Loch Ness, particularly enjoyed the small village of Mallaig and was able to catch the locks in action in Fort Augustus. Ben had a nice playlist of songs of contemporary Scottizh folk music which made the long drives enjoyable with the views and had some nice bits of trivia here and there along the way.

Exploring the Highlands following “Hogwarts Express”
Very well planned 11.5 hours tour, considering view of the Jacobite(Hogwarts) steam train, Loch Ness tour with great views, Falls of Foyers , Mallaig port. All packed with good stories by Martin! Martin is a great host for the tourists - very attentive, knowledgeable, enthusiastic! Highly recommended

Good tour - great driver
Ben was our driver and he was an absolute gem. Told stories about the various areas as we went through them and was just all around fun. The tour stops were interesting - you aren't in the van for very long before you're popping back out.

I've been on a few tours with the company now, and the Glenfinnan tour has been incredible. The wildlife tours in Mallaig are a must, Dolphins, seals, the fresh sea air. Fiona was a great tour guide and her recommendations to every location saved time and found really great points of interest. Can't wait for the next one.
