Worried Father to Chilled Tourist
Our family started our journey to Belize a bit differently this time by traveling separately and meeting up once we arrived. Since we usually travel as a group, this setup was a little nerve-wracking for me. Fortunately, thanks to this amazing company, everything came together flawlessly! We had a truly wonderful experience. Our driver and guide, Ismar, was absolutely fantastic, friendly, and highly entertaining. He was incredibly attentive to all of our needs, constantly helped us out, and patiently answered our endless questions about his beautiful country. Ismar is a wonderful ambassador and a shining reflection of Belize. We couldn't have asked for a better welcome! We were so pleased we informed our daughter to specifically request Ismar, for their arrival the following day. They too had a very positive experience. While I can’t vouch for all their drivers, I recommend ISMAR! If you want somebody waiting for you, no matter how early or late your flight will be, if you want English Speaking, and safe driver, this is a great company! Enjoy your journey to Belize.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review! We're happy to hear you had a great time with Ismar on your ride to Belize. A seamless transfer is what we aim for and we're happy your enjoyed every second of it. Contact us on your next ride in Belize and we'd be happy to help.

10/10 services!
If you are able to request a driver, request Jamie! He was on time for pick up, made sure I was comfortable in the van before we left (they give you cold water and WiFi access for messaging apps). Jamie was also so kind to share his knowledge of Belize, the Mayan culture and history of villages we traveled to on our way to San Ignacio. You could feel how proud he was and I am grateful to him for sharing. Also, he drove me through San Ignacio and showed me some restaurants and shops to check out before taking me to my hotel.

We had booked an airport...
We had booked an airport transfer for 12pm landing…upon landing we waited 30 min until I finally got cell service..I received an email saying that they have no availability until 4:30pm. We were stranded at the airport with kids and had to get a taxi to take us 2 hours into San Ignacio. Ridiculous.

Exceeded my expectations! Would book again!
Sadly I don't have any picture, but I hope my explanation will communicate how good of an experience I had. Everything was so easy from the booking process all the way till we got to our resort and back to the airport! After putting in all the information I got really fast responses from the company when I inquired about things. Even when it was hours before the allotted times to just confirm everything for my own peace of mind. The shuttle experience itself was also so nice. The driver helped get our luggage since it was only the two of us, and made sure we were comfortable. The ride itself was very smooth and the vehicle was clean as well, and gave us enough space when there were people who came with us. (On the first ride to our resort we were lucky to not have anyone, then on the way back there was a couple) Though you can tell that they probably don't try to pack people for one trip and allow those more personal one-on-one rides. Speaking of which, the rapport between the driver and us was really cool. He was so knowledgable about the destinations in Belize and all the tourist and non-tourist information. It was also cool that we got set up with someone who their hometown was actually the place we were staying near, so it was nice to have a local's knowledge in relation to our stay. They weren't too overly talkative or quiet, and allowed us to really enjoy the long ride to our resort. Overall, I would definitely use Viator when booking for transportation from the airport to where we are staying. And enjoyed the fast communication and kind help when it came to traveling questions.

International Airport Belize City to San Ignacio: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Belize City.
How much does International Airport Belize City to San Ignacio cost?
+
Prices start at $70 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Belize City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does International Airport Belize City to San Ignacio take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Belize City is not rushed.
Is International Airport Belize City to San Ignacio worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 81 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 133 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Belize City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule International Airport Belize City to San Ignacio?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is International Airport Belize City to San Ignacio suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book International Airport Belize City to San Ignacio?
+
Around 47 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Belize City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Belize City and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does International Airport Belize City to San Ignacio start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Belize City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Belize City?
+
On Outty we rank every Belize City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cave Tubing and Zipline Adventure from Belize City, Caves River Kayaking, Explore More with V.i.V., Altun Ha Mayan Ruins & Cave Tubing Tour with Belizean Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Belize City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Belize City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
