    Knowledgeable and helpful guide

The guide was extremely knowledgeable, and helpful. She was able to answer all our questions. She was a big fan of the books, which was fun to discuss. She knew about the secret doors, which we would not have noticed by ourselves. A great guide, and highly recommended for fans of the book, or just a different perspective on Florence.

    Excellent

It was not the tour we signed up for. But it was wonderful! Only 2 mentions of Dan Brown‘s Inferno. Our guide Vannozza made a quick recovery and took us places we would never have seen! Excellent.

Don’t book if you expect facts and highlights from the book. Great historical tour (but our second).

Please be aware when you want to book this tour! It’s not at all what they promise. Despite a very professional tour guide and visiting some beautiful historical places… It had almost NOTHING to do with the novel or the movie. We had a history tour the day before and this didn’t ad any value on top of that. I normally don’t post comments like this and try to solve this with the touroperator. But they take days to respond and don’t acknowledge the fact that maybe 5% of the tour is about the book/novel.

Response from the operator: Dear Mr Rick, you made our tour guide cry, as you were interrupting her every 2 seconds while she was touring. As I already stated Cristina is a very professional tour guide, perfecly built for our Inferno tour, a tour we are operating since the year 2013. The tour is 2 hours long: 1 hour inside Palazzo Vecchio and 1 hour walking tour on the tracks of Dan Brown's Novel. We are in Florence and of course the monuments need to be explained, as they are world's famous masterpieces of art. During the tour we speak about the Novel, i. e. what happened in every specific place AND about the monuments we see during the itinerary. Your behaviour was not fair at all towards the tour guide and towards the other members of the party, as it was a GROUP tour and not a private tour just for you. After the tour you contacted us many times and we gave you the logic answer about the tour. You were not satisfied by our answer, you contacted the Viator Support and we explained the same to our Viator partners. Yesterday you tried to threaten us writing to us that you would have come to the office and make a bad review. We are answering your review in the logic way facts have occured and we would have been at your disposal to talk with a coffee if you had come. We have not seen you in our office for the whole day. I want to let our readers know that Cristina got ALL 5 STAR reviews on this tour on the very same day you had it with her, despite your thousend interruptions . Have a nice day Susanna

    Inferno Florence guided tour

Travelers beware!!! Thus guided tour disappointed us from the very beginning. The description included an English tour guide. Our guide did not speak English so we understood very little of information and we were not able to communicate any questions. The description also said the tour would be based on the inferno novel. The guide knew little about the novel so that part of the tour was completely inaccurate. A great disappointment and I would strongly suggest you not take this tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Madam, thank you for communicating your point of view. Our tour guide has done this tour for long time and her English is as good as her Spanish is. Sorry for telling you, you cannot judge the professionality of a person in this way like she hadn't practiced her script for it as you didn't really learn anything. This is highly offensive and not even true, as our guide told us you were not listening and you preferred to take pictures during her explaination instead of following the explaination about the monuments and the DAN BROWN'S NOVEL INFERNO . Pls have a look to our reviews ......mostly 5 stars and praises........sorry for you

Inferno Florence Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Inferno Florence Guided Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $141 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Inferno Florence Guided Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Inferno Florence Guided Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Inferno Florence Guided Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Inferno Florence Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Inferno Florence Guided Tour?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Inferno Florence Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
