Manatees and Dolphins
We had a fantastic experience seeing manatees with one even coming up next to the kayak. Captain Mike our guide was very knowledgeable and that helped us to see both manatees and dolphins on the tour which was amazing to see them so closely. He was also great with the children and answered all of their varied questions.
Response from the operator: Having a manatee glide right up beside your kayak is the kind of moment that sticks with you forever! Captain Mike loves sharing his knowledge of the local wildlife, and we're so glad he helped your family spot both manatees and dolphins while keeping the kids engaged with all their great questions. Thanks for paddling with us, and we can't wait to welcome your crew back for another wild adventure!

We had a nice paddle with...
We had a nice paddle with Cap'n Mike. He was anxious and determined to get us close to some wildlife...in which he succeeded. You can only take what Mother nature gives you, and he managed to enable us to see what we came for. He is knowledgeable about many things besides just dolphins, which I appreciated. Very personable and easy to talk with.
Response from the operator: Mother Nature likes to keep us on our toes, but Captain Mike is always up for the challenge! We're glad he helped you get up close with the wildlife while sharing a little local knowledge along the way. Thanks for spending part of your day with us, and we'll be ready for your next adventure whenever you are!

Manatees Everywhere!!!!
My family went while vacationing in Cape Canaveral. We had an amazing time. My son is 15 and a pretty good paddleboarder so he was excited to get out on the water. My daughter is 11 and was a little more nervous but wanted to try paddleboarding so we tried the hybrid boat with her. She got a little too scared standing up our guide Captain Mike was awesome and brought a kayak paddle so she could change to sitting and kayaking. He was so awesome and patient with her as she got over her nerves. And almost immediately he pointed out some manatee nearby and all nervousness was gone. It was mating season and we got to see several males chasing around a female and even got to see a mama and her baby right next to us. They swam right up to us and under our boats/boards. Lots of other cool wildlife and interesting information about the Mangroves. Would highly recommend and will be doing again on future trips. Thanks Captain Mike for an unforgettable experience!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your family's adventure! We're so glad Captain Mike helped make everyone feel comfortable on the water and turned those first nerves into an unforgettable experience. Getting to see manatees up close, especially a mom and her calf, is always a magical Florida moment. We truly appreciate the recommendation and can't wait to welcome your family back on your next trip to the Space Coast!

Amazing!
Captain Mike was an amazing guide! He made sure our group found the darkest areas despite the full moon to see the bioluminescence really well. He gave us so much information about the wildlife in the area, the bioluminescence and tips on how to photograph what we were seeing. I had such a good time!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful experience! 💛 We’re so happy to hear you had such an incredible time with Cocoa Kayaking and that Captain Mike helped make your bioluminescence tour so special. It’s great that he was able to find the darkest areas for optimal viewing despite the full moon, and that his knowledge of the wildlife and bioluminescence added so much to your experience. We love hearing that you enjoyed the extra tips on photography as well—capturing those glowing moments can be tricky, so we’re glad that guidance helped. Thank you again for joining us and for your kind words. We hope to welcome you back for another magical night on the water soon! 🛶🌌🐬

Great adventure for family!
We met Susie and she was a fabulous guide! She helped do all the heavy lifting, helping us use the easy to navigate Kayaks. She successfully led us near dolphins and manatees as well as several interesting birds. It was a fun trip for my grandkids and son’s family and Susie was fantastic!
Response from the operator: It warms our hearts to read your kind words about our tours and our wonderful guide Susie. What a fantastic way to spend time with loved ones! ❤️

Why this scores 75
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Indian River Clear Bottom Kayak or Paddleboarding Manatee and Dolphin Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.
How much does Indian River Clear Bottom Kayak or Paddleboarding Manatee and Dolphin Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Indian River Clear Bottom Kayak or Paddleboarding Manatee and Dolphin Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.
Is Indian River Clear Bottom Kayak or Paddleboarding Manatee and Dolphin Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 71 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Indian River Clear Bottom Kayak or Paddleboarding Manatee and Dolphin Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Indian River Clear Bottom Kayak or Paddleboarding Manatee and Dolphin Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Indian River Clear Bottom Kayak or Paddleboarding Manatee and Dolphin Tour?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Indian River Clear Bottom Kayak or Paddleboarding Manatee and Dolphin Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?
+
Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?
+
March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
