Incredible Sister Adventure
This was such an incredible experience for my sister and me...it was one of the harder things I've done in my YA life, but our guide Yvette ensured our safety and experience were top priority. We felt prepared but challenged in the best way, and she captured the most memorable moments with great photos and provided her knowledge of the environment and region along the way. We felt so accomplished when we reached the top and got to take in the views of Cape Town and our trek. Thank you mother City Hikers!
Response from the operator: YAY! Wonderful to hear your sisterly adventure was so incredible for you both. Well done for taking the challenge, it is not easy but you did it and we hope the memories will last a lifetime.

Platteklip Gorge hike
We had such a wonderful experience. I messed up the booking and Lauren and her team were great in rearranging things so we still were able to do the hike. Our guide, Johan, was fantastic - very knowledgeable about the area, the plants ,and the history - it was a great experience. They provided waters, snacks, back packs, rain gear, and hats - super professional. I highly recommend Mother City Hikers.
Response from the operator: Thank you, so happy we were able to make everything work well for you. Johan is fantastic, what a pleasure to be able to spend time out in nature all together. True thanks for everything! We can't wait to welcome you back one day.

Amazing guide and hiking tour!
What an amazing morning hike up to Table Mountains plateau. We discussed before with our excellent guide Monique the different route alternative's. and decided for a challenging morning. We took the Indian Venster route, which sometimes was a bit challenging, but definitely doable and an amazing experience. An unforgettable memory for my doughter (15 years) and my son (18 years), and myself. Excellent guiding which I encourage you to book if you have the possibility! Meals and snack included.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing about your amazing experience with us, and Monique especially. She is a gem of a guide and we are so lucky to have her with us. Well done for doing the challenging route and we are happy it suited you well! It's healthy to push our boundaries at times in a safe way. We hope this will stay in your memory banks for life. Much appreciate your support and we really hope to welcome you back again one day!

A great day of climbing
We had a wonderful hiking experience. climbing Lions Head. Lauren called us the night before to give us all our hiking options and helped us make the best hiking choice. They were early the next morning to give us time to again make the best choice. Johan was our hiking guide who was knowledgeable about hiking as well as all the nature and geology we hiked through. He let us go at our best pace, always stopping for short rests and giving us encouragement. He helped and guided our foot placement and climbing strategies I would comfortably recommend Lauren and Johan to my closest friends and family
Response from the operator: Thank you so much. You are both superstars. Well done for taking on the challenge and doing so well. It was our pleasure to meet you both and make this experience one you'll hopefully never forget :) We so appreciate your gusto and your happiness was felt.

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
India Venster Route: Hiking in Table Mountain from Cape Town: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does India Venster Route: Hiking in Table Mountain from Cape Town cost?
+
Prices start at $183 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does India Venster Route: Hiking in Table Mountain from Cape Town take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is India Venster Route: Hiking in Table Mountain from Cape Town worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 56 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule India Venster Route: Hiking in Table Mountain from Cape Town?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is India Venster Route: Hiking in Table Mountain from Cape Town suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book India Venster Route: Hiking in Table Mountain from Cape Town?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does India Venster Route: Hiking in Table Mountain from Cape Town start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town, Private Full Day Stellenbosch Wine Tour with Pick Up and Drop Off. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
