The most varied tour to Machu Picchu

We had an incredible 4 days with Eduardo! The tour was even conducted with only two guests and so our experience was really intense. From downhill to rafting, preparing your own coffee, ziplining and a little hiking, this tour has it all. At the same time, everything can take place at your own pace. The accommodations are good and the food great! I will recommend this tour to all friends coming to Peru!

Response from the operator: Muchas gracias por su excelente reseña!

INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

Wow!!! There are not enough stars to properly rate this experience with Southern Peru Explorers. We did the Inca Jungle trail. It was everything we wanted and more. We are fairly adventurous and active in our early 30s. This was the PERFECT balance of fun, adventure, history, learning, local experience, chilling, and good vibes. On the logistical side, Joel was incredibly professional and thorough. He clearly explained to us every detail of the itinerary. He handled fairly complicated logistics involving trains, buses, accommodations, meals, and the various activities. We did not have a ticket to machu pichu, and he adjusted the trip itinerary so that we would be able to get the ticket we needed at the exact time we wanted. Communication was perfect and easy throughout. Then there is the tour itself. Wow. Our guide, Andy, is one of the most impressive human beings we have ever met. Very knowledgeable about every topic imaginable, particularly the history of the region and its people and culture, knows how to have a routinely, constantly had us rolling on the ground laughing, a great guy. Biking downhill into the jungle was super fun. We were skeptical that river rafting would be too easy, but it turned out to be INSANELY fun and the scenery was spectacular. The hiking portion was one of the highlights, with a perfectly planned stop to hot springs at the end of a long day trekking. The towns we stopped in were really cool as well, and we met loads of interesting people. Accommodations were all super clean, and the meals were delicious. Machu pichu was cool too, but it was the journey there that stole the show. If you are looking for jungle scenery, variety of activities, culture, history, cool people, relaxation, and adventure, but don’t quite feel up to a 5 day death march on the Salkantay Trek with 10+ hours of hiking a day, then this is the trip for you. We are very grateful that we found these guys, and will never forget this experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the perfect balance of adventure and sightseeing without having to spend all four days hiking. It's great to know that Puma made your experience even more enjoyable with his knowledge, friendly attitude, and ability to adapt the pace to the group. And of course, we're happy that Machu Picchu was the perfect ending to your journey. Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Peru for another unforgettable adventure! Best regards, Southern Peru Explorers Team

Inka Jungle Trek

The trip was amazing. We enjoyed the variety of the accommodation and food. The trip was matched to our capabilities perfectly. We were 3 adults with varied fitness levels & a 16 year old & a robust 12 year old. Despite the varied nature of the group, it was still challenging & interesting for everyone. Our guide Jhimmy was patient, informed, and super helpful. His knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm made a great trip even better. We've been to Europe, Aus, Africa, & SE Asia as a family. This was our favourite trip. We highly recommend Joel, Jhimmy, and the team for the Jungle Inca trek. Thanks from Lia, Kevin & family

Response from the operator: Hey Lia, Kevin & family, Thank you so much for sharing such a wonderful review! We’re really happy to hear that the Inca Jungle Trek was such a great fit for your family and that everyone—despite different fitness levels—was able to enjoy and be challenged in the right way. That balance is exactly what we aim for, especially when traveling with kids and adults together. It’s amazing to read that this trip stood out even compared to your travels across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. That truly means a lot to us. We’re especially glad that Jhimmy made such a strong impact on your experience. His patience, energy, and deep knowledge of the region are qualities we really value, and he will be very happy to hear your kind words. Thank you again for trusting Joel, Jhimmy, and the whole team. It was a pleasure being part of your family adventure, and we hope to welcome you back to Peru one day! Warm regards, The Southern Peru Explorers Team

Inca Jungle 4 Days and 3 Nights premium: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sacred Valley.

How much does Inca Jungle 4 Days and 3 Nights premium cost?

+

Prices start at $600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sacred Valley usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Inca Jungle 4 Days and 3 Nights premium take?

+

Plan for about 96 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sacred Valley is not rushed.

Is Inca Jungle 4 Days and 3 Nights premium worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Sacred Valley, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Inca Jungle 4 Days and 3 Nights premium?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Inca Jungle 4 Days and 3 Nights premium suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 96-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Inca Jungle 4 Days and 3 Nights premium?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sacred Valley can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sacred Valley and add a light layer if any part of the 96-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Inca Jungle 4 Days and 3 Nights premium start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sacred Valley within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sacred Valley?

+

On Outty we rank every Sacred Valley experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Urubamba & Ollantaytambo: Sacred Valley Day tour with Lunch, Private Professional Guide in Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu 2Day Tour by Train from Cusco with Overnight Stay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sacred Valley?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sacred Valley?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
