Amazing Experience!
My husband and I absolutely love wildlife, so we just had to go on one of these tours on our honeymoon in Iceland. Both the whale tour and the puffin tour were excellent. On the whale tour, we got to see a shocking amount of whales, and our puffin tour guide was sweet and so excited to talk to us about puffins! There really are thousands of puffins on that island, it was so cool to see them up close! Highly recommend, this will definitely be a highlight of our trip!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! 😊 It’s wonderful to hear that both the whale watching and puffin tours were highlights of your honeymoon in Iceland. We’re delighted that you had such incredible whale sightings and that our puffin guide’s enthusiasm helped make the experience even more memorable. Seeing thousands of puffins gathered on the island is truly a spectacular sight, and we’re so glad you were able to enjoy them up close. Thank you for your recommendation and for choosing to spend part of your honeymoon with us. Knowing that these tours will be among the highlights of your trip means the world to our team. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness and hope to welcome you back to Iceland for more unforgettable wildlife adventures in the future! 🐋🐧❤️✨

Great experience
This 1-hour trip is perfect to be guaranteed Atlantic Puffin sightings if you are pressed for time. The crew were fun and passionate, despite probably leading multiple trips a day. We were able to get really close to these cutest of birds, as well as other species of the area. Well recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We are so grateful to hear that you had a wonderful time with our team and found them both fun and passionate throughout the tour. It means a great deal that you recognised their enthusiasm and dedication, even though their work is repetitive day after day. We are especially happy to know that you got to see the puffins and enjoyed watching just how adorable they are! Thank you for choosing to join us, and we hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Definitely worth whale and puffins in season!
Thought is was a good tour. I hadn’t realized that the Puffin tour was a different craft, immediately following whales, and went home, but went back to squeeze in Puffins the next morning and the woman just switched my day, so all was well. We saw five humpbacks so that was great! Puffin part was a bit disappointed and would have liked an option to rent binoculars for the trip. If I return some day, I’ll do the RIB.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to review us! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed both our Whale Watching and Puffin Express tours. Although there was some misunderstanding regarding one of your bookings, we are pleased that our front desk team was able to assist you and find an alternative departure time so you could still join the experience. It is wonderful to know that you had successful whale sightings during your tour. We are sorry to hear, however, that the Puffin Express experience was a little disappointing. We would like to mention that binoculars are available on board for our guests to use free of charge, and we hope this information was communicated by our crew during the tour. We truly appreciate your feedback and are very happy to hear that you would like to return and try our RIB Express experience in the future. We will be delighted to welcome you back and share another adventure with you!

Puffins in Iceland
We were able to get really pretty close to the Puffins. The guide was excellent - he was knowledgeable about 4 different species of Puffins. My daughter and daughter-in-law both loved this excursion !!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind recommendation! We are very happy to know that you found our guide very knowledgeable about puffins! We love to hear that both your daughters enjoyed this excursion!

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Iceland Super Saver: Puffin Cruise plus Whale-Watching Tour from Reykjavik: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Iceland Super Saver: Puffin Cruise plus Whale-Watching Tour from Reykjavik cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Iceland Super Saver: Puffin Cruise plus Whale-Watching Tour from Reykjavik take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Iceland Super Saver: Puffin Cruise plus Whale-Watching Tour from Reykjavik worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 118 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Iceland Super Saver: Puffin Cruise plus Whale-Watching Tour from Reykjavik?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Iceland Super Saver: Puffin Cruise plus Whale-Watching Tour from Reykjavik suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Iceland Super Saver: Puffin Cruise plus Whale-Watching Tour from Reykjavik?
+
Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Iceland Super Saver: Puffin Cruise plus Whale-Watching Tour from Reykjavik start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
