    Relaxing and Refreshing

Pick up process was smooth and went as described. Bus was on the small side with seats close together. A little cramped for anyone over 5’10”. Driver was friendly and safe (but was just a driver - no commentary). Hvammsvik Hot Springs was very nice. We enjoyed trying the different pools (with varying degrees of warmth) and the occasional “plunge” in the cold ocean. It was very relaxing to sit in the hot pools and view the scenery. We were there midday and it was not crowded. There was plenty of room in each pool. Lockers and shower facilities were clean and efficient. We ate lunch there. A little pricey but good. We would take this tour again.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review! We're delighted to hear that the pickup process went smoothly and that you enjoyed a relaxing visit to Hvammsvík Hot Springs. It sounds like you made the most of the different pools — including some brave plunges into the cold ocean! We're also pleased to hear that you found your driver friendly and safe and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and facilities at Hvammsvík. We appreciate your feedback regarding the seating on the bus, and we're very happy to hear that you would choose this experience again. Thank you for travelling with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another relaxing Icelandic adventure! Kind regards, Inga

    Loved it

The hot springs were great! Beautiful place immersed in scenic natural surroundings. Bring water shoes if you want to go into the ocean, it’s rocky but the cold plunge was so refreshing. I’m a little disappointed with the communication with the tour company. After reaching out three times about a pick up at the cruise terminal I got no where. We taxied to the bus station and returned there and had to taxi back to the port. The ride there and back was fine and the experience at the springs was wonderful. I definitely recommend

Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, Thank you for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed the hot springs and the beautiful surroundings. We sincerely apologize for the communication issues regarding your pickup and appreciate your feedback. Best Regards, Gabriele

    This was an absolutely...

This was an absolutely stunning experience. I had gone to the Blue Lagoon earlier in the week, and while I really enjoyed that one, the Hvammsvik Hot Springs are on another level. It was a relaxing escape that afforded the opportunity to literally soak in the stunning Icelandic scenery. Quiet and not overrun with tourists, it was the perfect getaway for a few hours. After a good soak in the springs, and a freezing cold plunge in the fjord, I decided to clean off and grab lunch in the cafe. Don't let the small rustic space of the cafe fool you - the food is next level along with the hot springs. Booking through Viator and finding the bus was relatively easy, for an overall enjoyable tour. Hands down a great experience and highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Hello Nicole, Thank you for your wonderful and detailed review! We're delighted to hear that you had such a memorable experience at Hvammsvík Hot Springs and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, stunning Icelandic scenery, and even a brave cold plunge in the fjord! It's also wonderful to know that you enjoyed the café and found the booking and transportation process easy and convenient. Thank you for your enthusiastic recommendation and for choosing to travel with us. We hope to welcome you back for another relaxing Icelandic adventure! Kind regards, Inga

Bus was clean and comfortable and on time. The spa was lovely and beautiful. Nice changing room, showers. The cafe was crowded so bring a snack if you think you’ll be hungry.

Hvammsvík Hot Spring with Return Transfers from Reykjavík: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.

How much does Hvammsvík Hot Spring with Return Transfers from Reykjavík cost?

    +

Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hvammsvík Hot Spring with Return Transfers from Reykjavík take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.

Is Hvammsvík Hot Spring with Return Transfers from Reykjavík worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 279 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hvammsvík Hot Spring with Return Transfers from Reykjavík?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hvammsvík Hot Spring with Return Transfers from Reykjavík suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hvammsvík Hot Spring with Return Transfers from Reykjavík?

    +

Around 98 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hvammsvík Hot Spring with Return Transfers from Reykjavík start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?

    +

On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Reykjavik?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
