    Desert Spirits Super Safari

It was just past noon when our adventure began. The sun was high over Hurghada, casting golden light over the desert edge as we climbed into our 4x4 Land Cruiser with AZ Travel. The air buzzed with excitement we were ready for a Super Safari, a seven-hour journey into the heart of the Eastern Desert. Our guide, Mustafa, greeted us with a cheerful smile. Today, he said, you will see more than sand you’ll see the soul of the desert. And with that, our convoy of jeeps roared to life and left the city behind. The ride was exhilarating. We bounced and slid over dunes and rocky paths, the wind whipping through open windows. The desert stretched endlessly before us, vast and wild, painted in soft oranges and browns. We paused atop a high dune, and for a moment, the silence of the desert was complete peaceful, powerful, timeless. By mid-afternoon, we reached a traditional Bedouin village tucked between low mountains. Here, life moved slowly. We were welcomed with hibiscus tea and shown around by local hosts. We learned how Bedouins bake bread in sand ovens, how they weave by hand, and how their children grow up with the wisdom of the desert in their blood. Then came the camels — tall, gentle, and a little grumpy. Riding one across the sand at sunset was like stepping into a page from a storybook. The sky began to change, softening into a pastel blend of lavender, gold, and rose. As evening neared, we gathered for a traditional Bedouin-style dinner. Plates were filled with grilled meats, spiced rice, vegetables, and fresh flatbread. The food was simple but full of flavor, made better by the crisp desert air and the company of fellow travelers. When the stars began to appear, the magic truly began. With no city lights in sight, the desert sky exploded with constellations. Our guide pointed out Orion, the Big Dipper, and even Saturn through a telescope they set up nearby. We sat quietly for a while, each of us caught in the awe of the moment. By 7:00 PM, we were back in the jeep, sandy and tired but glowing. The desert had given us more than we expected not just fun and photos, but a deeper feeling of connection to the land and the people who live in harmony with it. Thanks to AZ Travel, our Super Safari wasn’t just a trip it was a memory carved into the dunes, one we’d carry home forever.

    Highly recommend

I took part in a 2-hour quad ride that was simply fantastic. The route was exciting and had breathtaking views. The dinner that followed was excellent. The show was very well put on. The transfer was also perfectly organized: punctual, friendly and very funny. Overall, it was a thoroughly successful evening that I can highly recommend to everyone!

    Great adventure day out

We had a great SUV with constant air conditioning, so our excursion was ideal. Our tour guide checked on us, gave us a detailed explanation of everything we saw, and offered to snap pictures of us wherever. We also went to a restaurant for lunch, which is flexible and can be chosen whenever you like. The meal was buffet style with a wide selection of items, and we simply had to pay for drinks.

    Good, but with caveats

Overall, we had fun and this is worth doing, but with a few caveats. First, the price is so low ($10/person when we booked) because they kind of nickel and dime you for various things throughout the day long tour. Bring change. The ATV and buggy rides were cool, but we stopped frequently, didn’t go very fast, and just kind of did a loop and returned to where we started, but it was a cool experience. We didn’t get to interact with Bedouins or learn about their culture as much as I’d liked, but did get to see some. The show at the end was good, not great, but not bad either. The dinner was tasty, though nothing impressive. We went in late May on the 12:30pm tour. They were about 20-30 minutes late picking us up. It was very hot, so make sure you’re well hydrated and wearing sun protection. The transfers were very basic, no A/C. And the drive from their headquarters to the Bedouin camp was long and bumpy through desert, so be prepared for that. The staff were all very nice.

Hurghada Sunset Desert Safari ATV Quad Camel Ride Bedouin BBQ: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.

How much does Hurghada Sunset Desert Safari ATV Quad Camel Ride Bedouin BBQ cost?

    +

Prices start at $35 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hurghada Sunset Desert Safari ATV Quad Camel Ride Bedouin BBQ take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.

Is Hurghada Sunset Desert Safari ATV Quad Camel Ride Bedouin BBQ worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hurghada Sunset Desert Safari ATV Quad Camel Ride Bedouin BBQ?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hurghada Sunset Desert Safari ATV Quad Camel Ride Bedouin BBQ suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hurghada Sunset Desert Safari ATV Quad Camel Ride Bedouin BBQ?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hurghada Sunset Desert Safari ATV Quad Camel Ride Bedouin BBQ start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hurghada?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip W/Lunch & Transfer from Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hurghada?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hurghada?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
