    Great Day – 10/10 ⭐

We did a day trip from Hurghada to Luxor as a family, and overall it was a great experience—just a long day. Pickup was very early (around 5 AM), which was tough with kids, but the bus was comfortable. Definitely bring snacks and water. The drive is long, but manageable with a couple of stops. Our guide, Abdo, really made the trip. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and explained things in a simple, engaging way—not boring at all, even for the kids. The sites themselves (especially the Valley of the Kings) were amazing, but very hot and crowded by midday, so come prepared. Lunch was better than expected—we found vegan options easily (rice, veggies, salads), which was a big plus for us. Organization was smooth overall, although there were a couple of quick shop stops that felt a bit touristy. By the time we got back, we were exhausted—but it was worth it. I’d recommend it, just be ready for the early start and the heat.

A Perfect Trip to Luxor Thanks you

we just got back from Luxor and honestly, I’m still thinking about it. The whole trip felt unreal — like walking through history but somehow still relaxing and fun at the same time. What really made the experience special though was our guide, Abdo. From the first day, he didn’t feel like just a guide doing his job — he was warm, funny, and genuinely cared that we were having a good time. By the end of the trip, it felt like we were just exploring with a friend who happens to know *everything* about ancient Egypt. He explained things in a way that actually made sense (not the boring, memorized kind), and he always made sure we were comfortable, never rushed, and enjoying every moment. Luxor itself is just incredible — the temples, the views, the history — but having the right person with you makes all the difference. I’m really grateful for this experience, and even more grateful we met Abdo. Definitely a trip I won’t forget.

    Great tour

I recently did a day trip from Hurghada to Luxor, and honestly it ended up being one of the best parts of my trip. The day started very early, which wasn’t exactly fun at the time, but once everything got going, it was totally worth it. The drive was comfortable enough, with a couple of stops, so it didn’t feel too exhausting. Our guide omar was really made the experience though super friendly and clearly knew a lot about Egyptian history, but explained things in a way that was actually interesting, not boring.

An Unforgettable Day Trip to Luxor

We had an amazing day trip from Hurghada to Luxor with this agency. Everything was well organized, from the pickup to the return. Our guide was excellent — very knowledgeable and friendly. One special moment was at Karnak Temple when he explained the hieroglyphs in a simple and interesting way, making us feel like we were really understanding the history, not just looking at it. The whole trip was smooth, enjoyable, and full of great memories. Highly recommended!

Hurghada Small Group Luxor Day Tour With Egyptologist: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.

How much does Hurghada Small Group Luxor Day Tour With Egyptologist cost?

    +

Prices start at $52 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hurghada Small Group Luxor Day Tour With Egyptologist take?

    +

Plan for about 15 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.

Is Hurghada Small Group Luxor Day Tour With Egyptologist worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hurghada Small Group Luxor Day Tour With Egyptologist?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hurghada Small Group Luxor Day Tour With Egyptologist suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 15-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hurghada Small Group Luxor Day Tour With Egyptologist?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 15-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hurghada Small Group Luxor Day Tour With Egyptologist start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hurghada?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada Diving Adventure one Day with two Dives Boat Trip, Hurghada to Cairo: Pyramids & Museum for First-Time Visitors, Scuba Diving Full Day Boat Trip W/Lunch & Transfer from Hurghada. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hurghada?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hurghada?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
