Mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang
OPTIONAL STOP: Tomb built from 1840 to 1843 by Son of Minh Mang - King Thieu Tri. Minh Mang Tomb, whose literal name is Hieu Lang, built by Emperor Thieu Tri of the Nguyen Dynasty, is located on Cam Ke mountain, An Bang hamlet, Huong Tho commune, Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province, near Bang junction. Lang is the confluence of two streams, Huu Trach and Ta Trach, forming the Perfume River, 12 km from the center of Hue city. Minh Mang Mausoleum was built from 1840 to 1843, when it was completed, it mobilized up to ten thousand workers and soldiers.

Tomb of Tu Duc
OPTIONAL STOP: Tu Duc started his tomb long before die in 1883. The major area of the tomb were built from 1864 to 1867, along with later temple buildings that used as a royal palace for Tu Duc and his wives when he was still alive. Construction of the tomb needed too much labor and heavy tax that there was an abortive coup against Tu Duc in 1866.

Great tour
Dan, our guide was ecellent. He told us all there was to know about the places we were going, so our experience was much bigger than expected. We alså learned about the Vietnamese culture. He was accurate, serviceminded, knowledgeable and a very, very pleasant person.

OK tour
Driver + Guide 2 attractions tour OK experience but for the price paid I expected higher quality of the tour and historical context, english was also hard to follow in my opinion. Furtherly we asked to manage things in order to arrive on time for the next tour and we were 10 minutes late.

Great Tombs visit with private guide
Dan was our guide and driver to visit 2 Tombs. He was so friendly, knowledgeable and kind. I had my 87 y/o mother with me and Dan took him time and looked after us so well. His knowledge of the history of the Kings was amazing but also Vietnamese history in general. Perfect English

Awesome guide and experience
My guide Thanh was awesome! I visited the Citadel, Thien Mu pagoda, and Khai Dinh tomb. Everywhere was spectacular and I didn’t feel rushed at all. My guide took some great photos of me, he’s quite the photographer and a great driver. Tickets were purchased separately, 200k VND for the Citadel and 150k VND for the tomb, the pagoda was free. The total tour took about 4 hours, and I’d recommend leaving as early as possible (7/8 am) to avoid the heat and crowds

Do this tour with Nhienle
We had an amazing tour guide in Nhienle. She was full of information, stories and knowledge, was entertaining and also took us to a local Cafe for lunch which was awesome! Nhienle also ensured we were dripped off safely at our next appointment, not leaving us until she knew we were at the right location which made us feel confident and safe which we greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend.
