We had the boat...
We had the boat completely to ourselves which was lovely. There’s no information about where you’re going along the river but that was what were liked about it. The boat was a little old and we sat on plastic chairs in the sunshine and enjoyed the river scenery.
Response from the operator: Dear Sharon, Many thanks for taking the experience with us. We are so happy to hear that you had a great jounrey with us. Many thanks, Hung Le

No romance but a few laughs were had 😜
If you are looking for romance this is not the boat trip for you. The boat is run by locals and has seen better days. It was nice to be out on the river and see the city from a different perspective. There was one other couple on the trip with us. The lady on the boat spent the return journey trying to sell us scarves and clothing which was a bit of a distraction. That said we did enjoy the spin up and down the river.
Response from the operator: Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad you enjoyed seeing the city from the river and that the cruise itself was pleasant. We’re sorry that parts of the trip did not fully meet your expectations. We hope to welcome you again in the future and provide an even better trip next time.

We had fun but there were problems.
We had fun, the people were nice and the views were nice but there were problems. When we arrived we had a hard time finding the driver. Also there was a rat on the boat which made us scared.
Response from the operator: Dear Liam, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the views and found our team friendly. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced while locating the driver and for the unpleasant incident on the boat. We will try our best to fix these problems to bring a better experience to our future guests. Your comments are very helpful for us to improve our service. Best regards, Hung Le Travel

Boat tour / rickshaw
Was nice to have the boat to ourselves, but no water was offered nor did we go past the mu pagoda the 1st part of river coconut island was dirty smelly and took us away from the nicer area. Rickshaw was good bit scary as bikes and cars get close very polluted too. The market and area were ok nothing special but nice to see the area. Rickshaw drivers worked hard so gave them a tip.
Response from the operator: Dear Emma, Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback with us. We truly appreciate your honest comments as they help us improve our services. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed having the boat to yourselves and that the rickshaw experience, despite being a little adventurous, left a good impression thanks to the efforts of the drivers. We’re sorry to hear about the points that did not meet your expectations. However, we check with our team they gave you 2 cool water bottles during the trip. Thank you for your feedback, We get your concerns about the traffic and pollution during the rickshaw ride. Please rest assured that we will review these issues carefully with our team to improve the experience for future guests. Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback and for recognizing the hard work of our local drivers. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide you with an even better experience. Warm regards, Hung Le Travel

Poor service, although nice people..
They tried to put us on a group tour when we arrived, I had booked and paid for a private tour. They Conducted repairs on the boat during tour, hammering loudly for about half of the boat ride. The other half of the trip they spent selling us items on the boat. I get that they are making money for themselves but it actually felt like we were on a floating market as opposed to a relaxing sunset boat ride. the whole experience was not value for money..,
Response from the operator: Dear Katie, Many thanks for your kind information. We take your feedback seriously and as our policy is that no any comercial on the Dragon boat. It is only private cruise for our guests to enjoy the whole experience sailing with us. Many thanks, Hung Le Travel

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hue Private Tradictional Dragon Boat(Cruise) Imperial by Memories: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hue.
How much does Hue Private Tradictional Dragon Boat(Cruise) Imperial by Memories cost?
+
Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hue usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hue Private Tradictional Dragon Boat(Cruise) Imperial by Memories take?
+
Plan for about 0.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hue is not rushed.
Is Hue Private Tradictional Dragon Boat(Cruise) Imperial by Memories worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hue, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hue Private Tradictional Dragon Boat(Cruise) Imperial by Memories?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hue Private Tradictional Dragon Boat(Cruise) Imperial by Memories suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Hue Private Tradictional Dragon Boat(Cruise) Imperial by Memories?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hue can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hue and add a light layer if any part of the 0.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hue Private Tradictional Dragon Boat(Cruise) Imperial by Memories start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hue within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hue?
+
On Outty we rank every Hue experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hue: Imperial City Walk, Motorbike Tour & Private Car Options, Hue city Deluxe Group Tour (Daily Tour-12 pax max), Hai Van Pass Motorbike Private Tour with Mister T Easy Rider. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hue?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hue?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
