Later we take a Dragon Boat Trip to Thien Mu Pagoda. Thien Mu Pagoda was built in 1601 between a river and a pine forest, the Thien Mu Pagoda (“Heavenly Lady Pagoda”) in Hue is one of the oldest and prettiest religious buildings in the country.

Tomb of Khai Dinh
Next stop is the royal tomb of Khai Dinh, the Nguyen Emperor Khai Dinh's royal tomb is unique among the royal tombs in Hue. Where other royal tombs are expansive and invite respectful reflection, Khai Dinh built his final resting place to be monumental in style and bombastic in execution. The construction of Khai Dinh Tomb which was started on 4 September 1920 and lasted for 11 years. It is the result of the combination of many architectural trends: European and Asian as well as ancient and modern.

Impressive imperial city with knowledgeable and friendly tour guide.
We took the full day trip to Hue as well as the dragon boat tour with Thùy. She was very knowledgeable regarding the history of the sites, and managed to help us with everything. Overall this was way above expectations, both the sites and the tour guide as well as the super skilled driver. Highly recommend this!!!

Day in Hue
We really enjoyed our tour with Lee and our relaxed driver and felt in good hands with the two of them. Lee could always answer almost any questions, if this was not the case, he looked them up immediately. The tour itself is quite packed, but still fits if you want to see as much of Hue as possible in a short time.
