Must do trip to Hue
Would highly recommend this tour especially with Tom, our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The train trip was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed the singers, laughed when the entertainment changed trains halfway along the trip. Absolutely loved the Imperial palace, just beautiful. Lunch was included and boy it was delicious and plentiful, catering for all tastes and allergies.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We are thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience with us.

Nice trip with some good views and a really motivated tour guide
Great tour! We were only a group of 4 people, plus our lovely local guide Helen and the driver! The driving up the pass is quite a nice experience, we made some stops for pictures, had time for a morning coffee and then went to Hue. The places we toured through were definitely worth to visit and we had a local meal for lunch in one of the small restaurants there! Last place (the tomb) was the best in my opinion! The trip back is quite a long way, but we used the time to have a sleep and we arrived back in Danang according to the original plan!
Response from the operator: Glad you enjoyed the scenic drive up Hai Van Pass with Helen, your lovely local guide. We're delighted that the tour's mix of activities, from morning coffee to exploring Hue's gems, met your expectations. Thanks for highlighting the tomb as a standout experience!

Best Tour Guide - Nhung
We highly recommend Nhung as a tour guide and translator for the Hue Imperial City & Hai Van tour. She not only fulfilled her duties exceptionally, but she also went the extra mile to ensure our experience was memorable and comfortable. Her knowledge of the history and significance of the Hue Imperial City and Hai Van was impressive, and she shared interesting facts that enhanced our understanding of the sites. What made Nhung stand out was her friendly and kind demeanor. She was a pleasure to be around and made us feel welcome throughout the tour. Additionally, her willingness to accommodate our needs was commendable. When our daughter fell ill towards the end of the tour, Nhung went out of her way to assist us. She took us to a pharmacy and helped translate our daughter's symptoms, which enabled us to get the necessary medicine. We are grateful for Nhung's exceptional service and highly recommend her as a tour guide and translator in Hue. Her dedication to her role and her genuine care for her clients make her an invaluable asset to any tour.
Response from the operator: We're grateful to hear that Nhung's exceptional service made such a lasting impression on your group's experience. Our team is delighted to know that her knowledge, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile exceeded your expectations. We're thankful for guides like Nhung who make our tours truly unforgettable!

Nice trip
Very knowledgeable guide, good English. Learned lots of intersting facts about emperors. I wish we could stop for a few mins along the Hoi Ann pass in order to the dine pics.
Response from the operator: What a fantastic day Julia_S must have had with our knowledgeable guide, who consistently delivers top-notch English and insightful commentary on Hue's rich history, making even the most fascinating emperors come alive. We're so glad you enjoyed the full day tour, exploring both the Hue Imperial City and the breathtaking Hai Van Pass. Your enthusiasm for this tour is exactly what motivates us to keep pushing the boundaries of exceptional travel experiences!

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hue Imperial City & Hai Van Pass Small Group Tour from Da Nang – Full Day: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Da Nang.
How much does Hue Imperial City & Hai Van Pass Small Group Tour from Da Nang – Full Day cost?
+
Prices start at $52 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Da Nang usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hue Imperial City & Hai Van Pass Small Group Tour from Da Nang – Full Day take?
+
Plan for about 11.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Da Nang is not rushed.
Is Hue Imperial City & Hai Van Pass Small Group Tour from Da Nang – Full Day worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Da Nang, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hue Imperial City & Hai Van Pass Small Group Tour from Da Nang – Full Day?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hue Imperial City & Hai Van Pass Small Group Tour from Da Nang – Full Day suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 11.5-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Hue Imperial City & Hai Van Pass Small Group Tour from Da Nang – Full Day?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Da Nang can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Da Nang and add a light layer if any part of the 11.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hue Imperial City & Hai Van Pass Small Group Tour from Da Nang – Full Day start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Da Nang within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Da Nang?
+
On Outty we rank every Da Nang experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Golden Bridge and Ba Na Hills Small Group Tour, Marble Mountains - Am Phu Cave - Monkey Mountain Sunset tour, Lady Buddha, Marble Mountains, Coconut Jungle & Hoian City Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Da Nang?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Da Nang?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
