A perfect day in Luxor.
Our trip to Luxor was simply wonderful and highly recommended. From beginning to end, everything was perfectly organized. Our driver picked us up at our hotel right on the minute and brought us safely to Luxor and back again. During the drive, we were served snacks, ice cream, and plenty of water. There was even a pillow available for a little morning nap during the drive 🙏. Once we arrived in Luxor, we started with a beautiful balloon ride into the sunrise over the city. Luxor itself was simply breathtaking. The tombs and the temple complexes were incredibly impressive, and it was fascinating to see everything again after more than 25 years and at the same time discover so much that was new. What really made the day special, however, was our tour guide, Ahmed Valentino. I have rarely met a person whose qualities were such a perfect fit for us. On one hand, there was his outstanding expertise regarding the history and culture of his country, which he brought closer to us in an entertaining and unforgettable way with little stories, and on the other hand, there was his great passion for what he does. For Valentino, it was a matter of the heart to bring the history of his country closer to us with pride and thus make us want to learn even more. The spontaneously organized boat trip on the Nile rounded off our perfect day and exceeded our expectations. All in all, it was a fantastic experience that we would not want to miss.
