it's like having a friend taking you out for a day trip!

We had a perfect trip that required no planning other than picking a date. Our guide, Mirek, made for a perfect day. He shared insight regarding Czech ways of life, historical knowledge, and geographical bits and pieces all through-out the day. It's about as closed to having a friend native to Czech show you around as you can get. The horse back riding, hiking, boat ride, and sights were perfect.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this lovely review! We're so glad Mirek made the day feel effortless and personal, sharing all those local insights along the way. Glad you enjoyed the horseback riding, hiking, and boat ride too — we'll pass this along to Mirek! 😊

    Living life like an adventurer

As a 13 year old who doesn’t usually enjoy going on walks and isn’t usually that interested about geology and that sort of thing I found it surprisingly fun and interesting. It was truly fabulous. Lots of sight seeing and fun memories made to remember for years to come . Nice to have a break from the city into the countryside and see the parts of Czech Republic we haven’t seen before in past visits. Mirek was a wonderful host, very kind and nice to be around. I got quite tired on the steps however the views were worth the work. I really enjoyed my day and it was fun to live life like an adventurer. From aunty - a little instruction on how to ride a horse would have been nice ! And helmets that fit . Otherwise totally brilliant, great host , can’t believe how much we packed into one day ! Thank you 🥰

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're so glad you had such a fun, adventurous day and that Mirek made it feel special from start to finish — those views really are worth the climb! We also really appreciate the feedback about horse riding instructions and helmet fit; we'll be sure to look into that. Thanks so much for sharing! 🥰

Hiking and scenery was great, horseback ride was lacking

The hiking was fantastic! If you are really into hiking, do their dedicated hiking tour, as there will be even more hiking. The terrain is not rough and it is all trails, but coming out of the canyon is tiring - you don’t need to be in great shape, but if you are really out of shape or very overweight, this will be too much for you, so just a heads up. The boat is a 20 min and a beautiful and serene ride - it is “powered” by a driver with a big stick, like a gondola, and you take it up the river a bit and turn around and come back. Great views and peaceful. The bridge was really neat and there were three or four lookout points we visited. We went on a Monday and it wasn’t crowded at all - we heard sometimes it’s packed with long lines for the lookout points. Our guide was great! Learned so much about everything and very conversational (I overheard other guides from other places and they just droned on reciting things.) He’s a native English speaker which makes things easier as well. The horseback riding is the reason for the 4/5 instead of 5/5. Full disclosure, another member of my party was the one who really wanted to do horseback riding, so I was expecting to not like this part as much anyway. It was much less polished…we were basically told to climb up and the horses had to be led/pulled along because they kept eating the grass (that had been their plan all along, so they knew this about the horses.) Since we couldn’t guide/control the horses, it was frustrating when they would guide them under a branch that was too low and we’d get smacked by it. One saddle came off at the turnaround point so I walked back (which I offered to do and preferred anyway, as the stirrups were too high so it was uncomfortable.) It felt like they dragged these horses out of the barn for us to make a little extra cash rather than any sort of tour.

Response from the operator: Hi, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback! 😊 I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed the hiking, boat ride, Bastei Bridge, and especially your guide. Your comments about the horseback riding are very helpful as well. I’m sorry that this part didn’t meet your expectations, particularly regarding the horses, saddles, and overall experience. I’ll definitely share this feedback with the team so we can look into it and improve the experience. Thank you again for your honest feedback. It really helps us! ❤️

Horseback Riding Tour in Bohemian Switzerland: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Horseback Riding Tour in Bohemian Switzerland cost?

    +

Prices start at $180 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Horseback Riding Tour in Bohemian Switzerland take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Horseback Riding Tour in Bohemian Switzerland worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Horseback Riding Tour in Bohemian Switzerland?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Horseback Riding Tour in Bohemian Switzerland suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Horseback Riding Tour in Bohemian Switzerland?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Horseback Riding Tour in Bohemian Switzerland start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
