Ok, not as expected
Would not recommend for kids, no helmet provided even though they said they noted it in reservation. Also, where we arrived area seemed run down. It got nicer farther along the beach but when we first got there I wasn’t in my comfort zone. The lead guy was nice and helpful , but this tour would not be my first choice. My daughter had a great time so was happy bout that :) But I took this tour since hotel vendor was not available, I guess all the reviews had me expecting something a bit different. The no helmet thing wasn’t the greatest. Live and learn. I hope the horses were well cared for.

Beautiful location but not as good as it should be
All in all it was a lovely walk on the horses but... after about 2/3 of our trip we had to stop on Conchal beach for 45 mins. We weren't prepared for this so had no cash for drinks and it was very hot. Also not convinced that the horses are that well cared for as mine was so thirsty it kept trying to drink sea water. They assured me it would get a drink at lunch time but why the wait? Guide went ahead and one of the horses was quite slow so had any thing happened the guide might not have even noticed straightaway. I've been on much better but the scenery was outstanding.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the beautiful scenery and overall experience. Regarding the stop at Conchal Beach, this is a regular part of the tour and is intended to give guests time to enjoy the clear waters, swim, and take pictures of one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful beaches. Our tour description also explains that guests “have the opportunity to dismount and explore the shoreline at your own pace, wading in the azure waves or simply relax on the beach and soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you.” We understand, however, that having additional time there without being prepared for a longer stop may have been inconvenient. We also take the welfare of the horses very seriously. We conduct periodic inspections with our horse supplier to check their overall condition and welfare. The horses are rotated between tours and receive days off during the week to ensure they are not overworked. That said, we appreciate your comments regarding the horse you were riding, particularly your concerns about its thirst and the guide’s positioning during the ride. We will review these points further with our supplier and team. Thank you again for bringing these concerns to our attention. Your feedback helps us continue reviewing and improving the experience we provide. Pura Vida! Native's Way

Scenic Ride
The ride was incredibly scenic and picturesque. Our tour guide Jordan had a lot of knowledge both about the horses and every area that we rode through. Unfortunately, I fainted towards the end of the ride. (it's in part due to heat as well as a condition I have). I was super embarrassed, but everyone was so helpful and kind towards me. They quickly made sure that everything was okay and drove me back when it was clear that health wise I could not continue. Be careful booking when it's so hot out in the middle of the day if you are like me and faint easily, but that goes for any experience, this is not specific to this tour at all. I would absolutely recommend this tour to others. Both, for the kind and attentive staff as well as the beautiful scenery.

Horseback riding Playa Conchal
We had such an amazing time on our horseback riding tour! Our guide Yordan was very knowledgeable about the area and shared so much information while we rode along the beaches. He also cared to check in on all of us and on the horses when he noticed one of them was not feeling well. I appreciate seeing all the locals in the area also caring for the horses and for us in cases we needed and help! Lovely scenery all around and a peaceful experience, absolutely loved it and would do it again!
Response from the operator: It’s wonderful to hear how much you enjoyed your horseback riding experience along the beach! Thank you for sharing such thoughtful feedback with us. We’re especially happy to hear that Yordan made the ride both enjoyable and informative. His attention to the group and care for the horses are qualities we truly value, and we’ll be sure to share your kind words with him. We’re also glad you appreciated the beautiful scenery and the peaceful atmosphere, as well as the care and support from the local community along the way. It sounds like it was a truly special experience. Thank you for choosing Native’s Way and for sharing your recommendation. We’d be delighted to welcome you back for another ride in the future. Literally amazing
Literally the best experience ever. Helmets provided but optional. Fine for beginners but great for someone a little more experienced. Got to trot, gallop, or canter based on riders want. Private beach area with great pictures from staff and also went through some woodsy areas.
Response from the operator: We’re so happy to hear that you had such an unforgettable experience! It’s great to know that the horseback riding was enjoyable for both beginners and more experienced riders, with the opportunity to choose a pace that felt comfortable. We’re also glad you enjoyed the private beach area and the beautiful scenery. And of course, having the team capture some great photos along the way makes the memories even better! Thank you for choosing Native’s Way and for sharing your experience with us. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure in Costa Rica. Pura Vida, Native's Way

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
