Best horse back riding tour
José and José were very friendly, spoke on history and culture, and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The horses were sweet and well cared for, would recommend many times!

Horse stroll on the beach
Overall great experience Jose was very knowledgeable about the history of ctg. The other Jose did a great job taking pictures and it was a very calm ride. Horse seemed to be well taken care of. Definitely enjoyed the experience overall Only thing I would say that could be different is more time to free ride or more clarity that you will be going at a slow trotting pace for almost the whole tour. I was expecting to ride the horse more freely and only received less than 5 minutes to freely ride before it was back to trotting.

Horseback Riding in Cartagena 💕
Our tour with the Cartagena Caribbean Tours was amazing! Jose was absolutely wonderful!! He made sure we had a great time and were well taken care of. Our uber broke down on the beach and he brought the horses to us so we wouldn’t have to walk. He also made sure our ride share picked us up from the meeting up point once the tour was over. He was very knowledgeable and passionate and gave great recommendations for our trip!! Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting, 10/10 experience!

* An Unforgettable Experience with Jose
This experience was truly unforgettable and meant so much more to us than just horseback riding. Jose and Gabrielle were both so warm and welcoming from the beginning, and they made us feel comfortable right away. Jose truly went above and beyond for our group in a way we will never forget. His kindness, patience, and genuine heart made this experience so special. He made sure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and included every step of the way. What stood out most was how much care and effort he put into giving us more than just a horseback riding experience. He took the time to share the history and culture of Cartagena, and his passion and knowledge made everything so much more meaningful. You can tell this is something he genuinely loves doing, and that energy made the experience even better. We’re so grateful for the way Jose went out of his way for us and for the unforgettable memories he helped create. Thank you for such a heartfelt and incredible experience.

Horse Riding in Cartagena: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.
How much does Horse Riding in Cartagena cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Horse Riding in Cartagena take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.
Is Horse Riding in Cartagena worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 36 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Horse Riding in Cartagena?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Horse Riding in Cartagena suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Horse Riding in Cartagena?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Horse Riding in Cartagena start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cartagena?
+
On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cartagena?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cartagena?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
