Great way to spend a couple hours in downtown Honolulu
Great tool for a self guided tour of downtown Honolulu. Enjoyed the background info and artistic touches like voiced stories from historic people. Some your stops were more impressive than others, but the your makes it easy to skip and walk your own routes when you want. Overall, you can't beat the price for a good way to spend an afternoon in Honolulu. Would also recommend adding China town to the end of your tour. Bring earbuds so you can hear the sometimes quiet audio.
Response from the operator: Aloha! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with our self-guided tour of downtown Honolulu. We appreciate the great advice regarding earbuds and the suggestion to include Chinatown—local tips like these are invaluable to the traveler community. Your feedback on the individual stops is also very helpful as we continue to refine the tour experience. We hope to see you again soon!

DIY Honolulu tour
1st time we'd done this type of tour and it took a bit of getting used to. We did cover all the stops of the tour but it took longer than we expected It's good that you can stop / start the commentary and see photos of the points of interest. Worth the money and would do it again
Response from the operator: Thanks for your review. It's great to hear that the tour was easy to navigate. We strive to make our tours as user-friendly as possible.

DO NOT NOOK with VIATOR
If we knew we couldnt enter the palace - O would have not secured this unvaluable audio We paid the ticket booth on site for an Audio tour which was the best I DO NOT recommend booking this tour thru VIATOR recommend go to onsite ticket booth for more value and you get to enter the palace and i promise you will be very happy
Response from the operator: It sounds as though you purchased the wrong item from Viator. Our tour specifically says that it is an outdoor walking tour of Historic Honolulu and does not include entry to any of the sites. The audio tour that you purchased is still yours and can be done any time in the future.

Honolulu Historic District Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.
How much does Honolulu Historic District Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $11 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Honolulu Historic District Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.
Is Honolulu Historic District Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Honolulu Historic District Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Honolulu Historic District Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Honolulu Historic District Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Honolulu Historic District Self-Guided Audio Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Oahu?
+
On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour, Oahu Majestic Circle Island Tour with Waimea Falls and Byodo Inn. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Oahu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Oahu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
