A long truncated journey
We were sold this cruise as a 2 day 1 night stay on a liner type craft. My partner and I both really wanted to see the bay and islands as it’s a spectacular site. We were picked up at our hotel and stopped on the way to pick a few others up. Then a 2 hour drive until we reached a toilet stop for half an hour (a pearl farm is there too) we carried on to Ha Long bay where we arrived about 11.45. We were told our boat (to take us to the main boat) was going to be there about 40 minutes later. Once we were loaded up we set off and finally arrived at the main boat 45 minutes later. We were shown to our cabin and then went for lunch. The crew were excellent and really friendly. Finally we set sail to the more distant islands….only to see 20-30 other liners! It’s not as select as we were lead to believe and at night we were surrounded by other vessels. With hindsight we definitely would choose a 1 day visit as you can see the islands without the expense of a cruise. The tour finished at about 11am the next day and the reverse of what happened on arrival ensued (launch back to harbour, coach home etc). It’s definitely not a 2 day visit to the islands and you will be surrounded by other vessels.

The tour was worth it!
Having a local guide was a big plus. He knew a lot about the history of the area and explained things clearly in English. I really appreciated his enthusiasm and pride when talking about his hometown. I had a great time on the boat. From the moment I got on, I was impressed by how clean and comfortable everything was. The food was really good, and the drink prices were fair. I loved happy hour-the cocktails were tasty and fun. As a vegetarian, I was grateful that he made sure I had a tasty veggie lunch. It really made my experience special! There were many activities to choose from, so I could join in or just relax. The staff were very friendly and always smiled, which made me feel welcome.

I would definitely recommend this cruise to others!
My time on the La Regina Legend cruise was amazing. The moment I stepped into my room, I was blown away by how spacious and comfortable it was. With a luxurious bathtub and a standing shower, it felt like a little slice of paradise. The food was delicious, especially dinner-it was really special! Our guide was fantastic. He told funny stories that made the trip even more fun. I really enjoyed every moment with him. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome. The transfer from Hanoi city was smooth and on time, which made everything easy. The itinerary was nice, but the views were the beat part of the trip. They took my breath away!

Well organized and cool...
Well organized and cool experience. The rooms in the boat have some minor fixing needs but are really nice. The staff is great and the food is good. Get ready to spend a lot of time on the taxi boat, especially the first transfer to the ship (40 min). The overall experience of 2 days-1 night is quite intensive if you don’t skip activities, so you end up not really chilling and enjoying your room and the deck. The kayak tour was nice but it’s really sad how dirty the water is; I didn’t get to bathe in the sea for this reason. Get ready to wake up early or risking to miss breakfast (must finish by 7:00 if you want to do the following your). The Trung Trang cave is rather underwhelming, but the visit is short so it’s ok.

Wonderful!
We had a fantastic experience on board La Regina. Crew were extremely attentive and went beyond our expectations. Boat and room was beautiful, with lovely private balcony. Excursions were well thought out, especially our day trip to Cat Ba with kayaking. Enjoyed our evenings watching the sunset with amazing views.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Honeymoon Suite Private Terrace 2D1N on Kairos Luxury Cruise 5*: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does Honeymoon Suite Private Terrace 2D1N on Kairos Luxury Cruise 5* cost?
+
Prices start at $199 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Honeymoon Suite Private Terrace 2D1N on Kairos Luxury Cruise 5* take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is Honeymoon Suite Private Terrace 2D1N on Kairos Luxury Cruise 5* worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Honeymoon Suite Private Terrace 2D1N on Kairos Luxury Cruise 5*?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Honeymoon Suite Private Terrace 2D1N on Kairos Luxury Cruise 5* suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Honeymoon Suite Private Terrace 2D1N on Kairos Luxury Cruise 5*?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Honeymoon Suite Private Terrace 2D1N on Kairos Luxury Cruise 5* start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
