What you get
About this experience
Experience and explore backwaters of Holiday and Anclote Key Island State Park. Always a short distant and boat ride to great fishing in Anclote Anchorage. Enjoy fishing one of the most popular and unique ecosystem found within the area. Fishing is great all year round, and there is such diversity of fish nearshore, shallow fishing for Snook, Redfish, Trout and Tarpon, depending on the season. Even on windy days there are plenty of places to fish, in the Sting ray Cover area where you can fish one of the many barrier islands, and hundreds of miles of backcountry water shoreline, making this an experience, not just another fishing trip. While visitors and travelers were experiencing Holiday, FL and the outdoor adventures, they also enjoyed Key Vista Nature Park, or something uniquely different like a Race to Escape game perfect for friends or family!

Trip of lifetime
Professional, helpful, and friendly captain. A fully enjoyable Four hours with, successfully, lots of Redfish caught. strongly recommend using Michael; will use again before the end of our holiday. Brilliant!!
Response from the operator: A great four hours of redfish action! 🎣 Captain Michael’s professionalism and friendly approach helped make your trip enjoyable from start to finish. We’re happy to hear you had such a successful day on the water and look forward to welcoming you back again before your holiday ends! 😊

Awesome time ever.
This was my first time Permit fishing in a boat, and it is something i would definitely do again. Ryan (Captain) was great; he made you feel welcome, and he explained everything in detail so it was easy to understand. The equipment was easy to use, and they even had a kit for the little ones. You can keep some of what you catch, and if you're lucky, you'll have as many as you want.
Response from the operator: Thanks for trying your first permit fishing adventure with us! 🎣 Captain Ryan made sure you felt comfortable with clear guidance, easy-to-use equipment, and a welcoming experience from start to finish. We’re glad you enjoyed your time on the water and we hope to see you back for another fishing trip soon! 😊

Redfish Trip
Captain Michael was simply fantastic. Really helped my two kids and helped me wind up a friend, all good-natured, but the little things help! Been out six times in three years with this boat; every time we caught redfish (I like them the most), and I would highly recommend it.
Response from the operator: Thanks for coming back for another fishing adventure with us! 🎣 Six trips in three years says a lot, and we’re happy Captain Michael continues to make each one memorable. We love hearing how he helped your kids enjoy the day while keeping the fun going for everyone. We appreciate your loyalty and can’t wait to have you back chasing more redfish soon! 😊

What a great trip with Ryan!
My family (three of us, kids aged 10 & 17) thoroughly enjoyed our 240 minutes of fishing. A lovely boat, relaxed atmosphere, excellent instruction, and first-class equipment. Next time we're down that way, we'll be out with Captain Ryan. We caught Cobia, Gag Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Permit, Tripletail, and Spotted Seatrout. This trip was one of the highlights of our holiday, and we met so many people who spoke about fishing during our 2-week stay. Thank you, Ryan.
Response from the operator: Thanks for choosing us for your family fishing adventure! 🎣 Captain Ryan helped make your 240-minute trip a true holiday highlight with excellent instruction, quality equipment, and an impressive variety of catches including cobia, gag grouper, permit, tripletail, and spotted seatrout. We’re glad your family enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and we look forward to welcoming you back on the water again! 😊

Always a good trip in holiday...
Another good Permit trip this summer, although the Redfish fishes were not so forthcoming. Many years, many permits, many thanks to Captain Ryan. The trip was totally worth it.
Response from the operator: Thank you for another great review! It means a lot that you've continued fishing with Captain Ryan over the years. Even if the redfish weren't as cooperative this time, we're glad the permit fishing made the trip worthwhile. 🐟 We truly appreciate your continued support and look forward to welcoming you back for many more successful days on the water. 🎣

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Holiday Inshore Fishing Charters: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Clearwater.
How much does Holiday Inshore Fishing Charters cost?
+
Prices start at $700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Clearwater usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Holiday Inshore Fishing Charters take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Clearwater is not rushed.
Is Holiday Inshore Fishing Charters worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Clearwater, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Holiday Inshore Fishing Charters?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Holiday Inshore Fishing Charters suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Holiday Inshore Fishing Charters?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Clearwater can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Clearwater and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Holiday Inshore Fishing Charters start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Clearwater within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Clearwater?
+
Clearwater Beach fills its calendar with dolphin cruises, pirate-themed family sails, parasailing, jet ski tours around Caladesi Island and sunset trips off Pier 60. On Outty we rank every Clearwater experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Little Toot Dolphin Adventure at Clearwater Beach, Clearwater Encounters with Dolphins Tour, Clearwater Beach Parasailing Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Clearwater?
+
March to May and October to November for warm water without peak crowds. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Clearwater?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
