Had such a fun and enlightening trip! Huge thanks to our tour guide, Man, for making the experience even more memorable. He was amazing, incredibly patient, and so witty — his humor kept us entertained the whole time. Definitely a trip to remember!

Authentic Da Nang & Hoi An Experience with a Caring Local Guide

Our experience with Man Nguyen Private Vietnam Tours was honestly one of the highlights of our Sister Asia trip. From the very beginning, Man was warm, communicative, and incredibly genuine. He stayed in touch with us through WhatsApp before and during the trip, making everything smooth, easy, and stress-free. What we appreciated most was his transparency with costs — there were no surprises, no pressure, and everything was explained clearly upfront, which made us feel very comfortable and taken care of. The tour itself felt more like spending time with a local friend than being on a typical guided tour. He shared the history, culture, and local stories of Da Nang and Hoi An in such a natural and engaging way that we truly experienced the authentic side of Vietnam. Man was also extremely thoughtful throughout the day — carrying cold water for us in the heat, bringing an umbrella under the strong sun, taking us for delicious local coffee, lunch, and dinner spots, and even becoming our photographer to capture wonderful memories for us. The whole experience was relaxed, fun, personal, and full of warmth and laughter. If you want a private tour that is authentic, caring, transparent, and shows you the true essence of Da Nang and Hoi An, I highly recommend Man Nguyen Private Vietnam Tours.

Best Guide in Da Nang

I'd highly recommend Man if you're visiting the Da Nang area of Vietnam. Communicating with Man was easy and effective. He's fluent in English, and responsive. I came with a few ideas like trying Bun Bo Hue and cycling the rice fields of Hoi An, and Man made it happen! Man provided interesting history and context to the sites visited. A tour to Vietnam may be a once in a lifetime trip, so you'll want to optimize and maximize your days; having a local guide like Man is key in doing that.

The best guide ever!

Great English and he was super helpful getting around! He was quick to pivot when it rained and kept the tour going. Every event was perfect to the groups energy. He went above and beyond for food orders to make sure all items matched what we wanted.

“Man” is the man in Vietnam!

I have been on many private tours around the world and today has been amongst the best ever. Simply because Man has a deep knowledge of his country and a genuine passion for sharing that knowledge. The little things were not forgotten in making our day unforgettable; car doors opened, air conditioning on and cold, water on hand, constantly guarding our safety over lumps, bumps and gutters. His company is clearly highly respected around Da Nang and Hoi An as we were acknowledged and welcomed everywhere we went and fast tracked through our activities. A great day was had by all……… I have no hesitation recommending Mans’ company for a fun day out in Vietnam.

Hoi An 'Town & Country' Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does Hoi An 'Town & Country' Private Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $21 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hoi An 'Town & Country' Private Tour take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is Hoi An 'Town & Country' Private Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 116 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hoi An 'Town & Country' Private Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hoi An 'Town & Country' Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hoi An 'Town & Country' Private Tour?

+

Around 41 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hoi An 'Town & Country' Private Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
