What you'll see and do

  1. The show will be from 20:00 - 21:00 from Wednesday to Monday. During the show, you will live in the atmosphere of Hoi An in the 16th century when Hoi An was a rural village, represented by a single farmer’s home and his family’s humble life and watched Hoi An transform from a country town into a powerful central trading port in Southeast Asia. Though the show presents major historical moments, the real magic is in its delicate representations of daily life. Hundreds of actors live as it’s been done for hundreds of years. There are no dialogues or scripts; the city is the main character, and the narrator is the time thread. As the lighting shifts and changes to illustrate years and seasons, it is impossible not to realize that each spectator is also a character. This moment is a plot point in the script. Our present tense is utterly inseparable from the memory of its past.

  2. Opening from 16:00 - 22:00, on Wednesday to Monday, Hoi An Impression Theme Park give you an opportunity to explore Hoi An's history. Enter through the Thanh Chiem Palace gates, a relic that hearkens back to the lavish abundance of the Nguyen Dynasty. Past the citadel gates, facsimiles of five traditional artisan villages present the five basic elements that keep the universe in balance: copper stands in for metal, carpentry for wood, pottery for earth, lantern-making for fire, and fishing for water. Continue through past fusions of Vietnamese, Japanese, and European architectural styles deeper into the park, where different areas offer different themes. A commercial trading port complete with shops, stalls, and bustling merchants represents the international trade of the 17th and 18th centuries. A Japanese village pays homage to the demographics of the time when a Japanese community left its mark on Hoi An’s culture through architecturally distinct buildings and bridges.

Visually impressive

Great visual display and entertainment but the crowd were quite noisy. Quite difficult to get a taxi back to town

Musst see

The people who were supposed to watch kept standing up without any shame and blocked the view. Many arrived late for the show. They should have been seated somewhere off to the side, because it was highly disruptive during the performance to see the heads of the crowd lighting their way with cell phone flashlights. It would have been better to place them where they wouldn't bother anyone. If you arrive late, it's your own fault; others arrive 30 minutes early as advised. It was also sad that 10 minutes before the end, everyone stood up and left one after another like ants... Those who still wanted to watch the rest were only disrupted by the noise and the blocked view. Management should ask these ladies and gentlemen before the show not to do that."

Gorgeous cultural experience

There was so much to see everywhere you looked! The story line told through the outfits, dancing, and scenery is gorgeous.

Spectacular performance- worth every second . The scale and visual impact is unexpected and thoroughly enjoyable- the history it holds is enlightening.

Colourful and enjoyable experience

The show is a hostoric perspective of the colourful history of Hoi An. The show is professional and the views are excellent, particularly in the Hi seats . The quality of the sound and laser show were good and the hour passes quickly as you look to catch all the action. Its a short walk along the river from the old town to Memories Park. It should be said there is not much more inside the park other than shops selling high end local crafts, several restaurants and snack shops. We stopped for a beer but sadly it was flat and tasteless , not a comment on the show but disappointing as generally the beer in Vietnam is excellent. Still worth a visit though

Hoi An Memories Show & Hoi An Impression Theme Park Ticket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does Hoi An Memories Show & Hoi An Impression Theme Park Ticket cost?

+

Prices start at $24 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hoi An Memories Show & Hoi An Impression Theme Park Ticket take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is Hoi An Memories Show & Hoi An Impression Theme Park Ticket worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 64 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hoi An Memories Show & Hoi An Impression Theme Park Ticket?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hoi An Memories Show & Hoi An Impression Theme Park Ticket suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 6. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Hoi An Memories Show & Hoi An Impression Theme Park Ticket?

+

Around 22 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hoi An Memories Show & Hoi An Impression Theme Park Ticket start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
