It is an experience based on local cooking. The tour in the river is a parenthesis. But cooking class is the major achievement from the activity

We had an excellent day. The market tour was informative and the cooking class had many delicious dishes we will cook again at home. Informative and fun day out for family!

my favorite thing I did in Hoi An
Really great cooking class experience and coconut boat tour - prepare to spend a small amount if you want to be spun in the coconut boats as it’s in a second boat that’s not included in the tour but it was really almost nothing. The cooking instructor made things really fun and kept an eye on everyone’s food to make sure we were all on track. Everything was delicious and I highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed both the cooking class and the coconut boat experience. It’s great to know our instructor helped create a fun atmosphere and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the cooking session. We’re also happy you loved the dishes you prepared. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to see you again for another memorable experience in Hoi An!

Great and Fun Cooking tour
Very glad we took this market, cooking class and coconut boat ride tour. Learned how to tell sweet and sour mango, and to tell red or white flesh dragon fruit etc Thought we would just cook one but actually did 4.5 dishes that we ate. Learned several cooking tricks. Even though we cooked our own dishes, they all tasted GREAT! Coconut boat ride was fun and peaceful. You can pay extra to experience being rocked and spinning We had an afternoon tour that started at 1:30. And ended around 5pm. Didn’t need dinner Great and fun tour. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the market visit, learned new tips about local fruits, and had fun cooking more dishes than expected—all with great results! It’s wonderful to know you liked the coconut boat ride as well and found the tour well-paced and satisfying. Thank you for the high recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back in Hoi An again soon!

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hoi An?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hoi An?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
