At Hoi An Bamboo Workshop, you will be surprised and excited to see all the different household facilities and items created from bamboo. You will be taught how to make different items from bamboo and you can take them back home as souvenirs after enjoying this exciting handcrafting experience with Amazing Local Craftsman. You will have a chance to make your unique and only-one bamboo souvenir to bring back home or give to a special friend or loved one. First, you will be welcomed in our home to enjoy natural comfort of the bamboo world! There, the artisan will tell you the history, usage and characteristics of bamboo in Vietnam from the traditional to modern perspective. You will then start to make your chosen souvenir to take back home. Examples of products are: pen holder, flower vase, bird cage, iPhone speaker, children’s toys, animals, etc.

Cool place - enjoyable afternoon , staff helpful enough without being over your shoulder all the time Left you to work at your own pace and helped/advised when required Some might expect more - but we found it as expected and enjoyed the experience Local - Authentic Had little trouble getting the pick up arranged - but when sorted all went smooth with pick up and drop off from our Hotel

This is based on the provider not the workshop itself. The workshop, I will give 5/5 But the provider 1/5. The communication with them was terrible. I communicated with “Daisy”. She did not answer my questions. She did not even respond to them except basically repeating my question. A car came to pick me up. Took to me the workshop. Turns out- what was advertised, a bamboo lantern that you drill holes into - which I asked Daisy about - was not included and was an extra cost. I didn’t bring any extra money with me. Very upsetting!!!! After workshop, took over 25 minutes to get a car to come and get me back to my hotel. And, I had to tell the driver when to stop because it seemed that he didn’t know the exact location. Don’t t book this great workshop with the 3rd party. Find Taboo Bamboo Workshop on Facebook or Instagram and book directly!!! I know I was overcharged!!! Did not like the communication with provider!!!

Superb workshop and fun to do
Fun time making lamps from bamboo. Great instruction and good tutor. Great to make a souvenir to take home knowing you made and designed it. Really recommend this highly.
