Hoi An Walking Tour

We had a private tour for this experience. Our lovely guide Hoa made the whole tour both informative and enjoyable. She was very helpful and made sure we had a great time whilst telling us about Hoi An’s history. We highly recommend Hoa and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We even organised another tour with her as we were very happy with her overall experience and all her efforts to help make our tour one to remember. Thanks Hoa and Wide Eye Tours

Very disappointing

I have always enjoyed walking tours before, but this was a big disappointment. Our guide appeared to have little idea of where we were going (he was constantly referring to Googlemaps and on his phone; we walked down roads, turned round and walked back again) little idea of how to guide a group (he addressed any info that he had to one individual at a time; he walked on ahead with no regard for us; he crossed roads wihtout us and waited at the other side....and crossing busy roads in Vietnam is not for the faint-heated!) and little information to impart about Hoi An. We didn't see the Market, the museum or any art craft manufacturing, as promised in the "What to expect" description. Sadly, I would definitely not recommend this tour to anyone.

Response from the operator: Many thanks for leaving us an honest and detailed review and recommending our services, we greatly appreciate it. We very much regret to hear that your experience was unsatisfactory, please accept our sincere apologies about this. We always strive to provide excellence in every part of our tours and it is very disappointing when we don’t achieve this. Your constructive feedback helps us to know where to make improvements. We hope to get the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and exceed all expectations next time. Best regards,

The walking tour was about 1.5...

The walking tour was about 1.5 hours, not a half day. It seemed over-priced for the ampunt of imformation passed on and the number of sights we saw. I'm sure there are better value walking tours available.

Hoi An Ancient Charm Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.

How much does Hoi An Ancient Charm Walking Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $17 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hoi An Ancient Charm Walking Tour take?

+

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.

Is Hoi An Ancient Charm Walking Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hoi An Ancient Charm Walking Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hoi An Ancient Charm Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Hoi An Ancient Charm Walking Tour?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hoi An Ancient Charm Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hoi An?

+

On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hoi An?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hoi An?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
